Movie memorabilia has a way of turning ordinary objects into fan treasures, but few props are as large or as loud as a military vehicle. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ gave Tom Holland’s web-slinger one of his most memorable action set pieces yet, a rolling chase through city streets with a hijacked armored machine at the center. Now collectors have a chance to take that machine home.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously made ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’, the film arrived in theaters on July 31, 2026. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk. Its tank sequence was teased early, with behind-the-scenes footage showing Holland riding the vehicle on the first day of production.

The latest news is that the Spider-Man: Brand New Day tank is going up for auction. The online sale is being handled by Humbert & Ellis on November 25, with bidding starting at £30,000 and an expected sale price of between £50,000 and £70,000. The vehicle is known on screen as DD6 and is currently housed at a military vehicle experience company in Brackley, Northamptonshire.

Despite the futuristic look, the machine is a real piece of military history. It is a 1969 Alvis Stalwart 6×6 military load carrier, nicknamed the Stolly, which was built to carry supplies across rough terrain and waterways. That amphibious pedigree makes it a rare and unusual lot for a film prop sale.

For the movie, Marvel turned it into what the production calls a futuristic hero strike vehicle. The transformation added an armored appearance, desert camouflage and studio weathering. According to the seller, apart from being made road-legal, the vehicle remains otherwise unchanged from when it left the set.

DD6 features in a major chase sequence in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ alongside Holland’s Spider-Man. The opening military vehicle chase was filmed on the streets of Glasgow, which stood in for New York. Location reports describe the hijacked vehicle rolling along Bothwell Street, with Spider-Man landing on top of it on Wilson Street.

In the finished film, the sequence is a showcase for the character’s agility, with the web-slinger clinging to the side of the vehicle as it barrels forward. The vehicle on offer is the real, physical machine that Marvel acquired and dressed for the shoot, and that tangible connection to the finished film is part of why collectors may find the lot so appealing. Fans who remember the chase can now picture the very machine parked in a garage rather than rolling through a digital version of Brooklyn.

The vehicle was bought by Marvel from Nick Mead, who has run Tanks A Lot in Helmdon for about 30 years. Mead has a long history with military vehicles, and he has said that he tends to chase film props. He has also suggested the vehicle is likely to appear in many more famous films in the future.

The auctioneer, meanwhile, has predicted that the machine could become one of the most collectable movie props ever. That is a bold claim, but the combination of a real military vehicle, a Marvel transformation and a high-profile Glasgow chase certainly gives it a unique story. The guide price of £50,000 to £70,000 reflects that appeal.

Spider-Man props have already drawn attention at auction this year. A prototype suit presented as a piece from the film recently surfaced, though its connection to the production was not officially confirmed. The tank, by contrast, has a clear on-screen identity, a documented history and a seller who says it is almost exactly as it was on set.

For fans, the tank offers something rare: a full-size piece of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that has been made road-legal. Few props deliver that kind of scale, and even fewer come with the weight of a major blockbuster chase.
