McFarlane Toys’ ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Figures Give Doctor Doom, Thor and the X-Men a Collector-Ready Debut
Big event films now arrive with a wall of merchandise, and ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is no exception. Hasbro, Hot Toys and LEGO have already shown off their lines, and each one has put Doctor Doom front and center. The McFarlane Toys ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ figures are the latest addition to that crowded shelf.
McFarlane first entered the Marvel world in 2024 with pre-posed figures in 1:6 and 1:10 scale. They are essentially statues that come with a base and a diorama-style backdrop. Earlier this year, the company also released a comic-inspired 1:6 Doctor Doom, standing about 11 inches tall with a wired cape.
Now the toymaker has shown its first look at figures based on the movie itself. The lineup covers Doctor Doom, Thor, Cyclops, Gambit, Mister Fantastic and The Thing, split across 2 scales. Thor and Doom get the larger 1:6 treatment, while Doom appears again alongside Cyclops, Gambit, Mister Fantastic and The Thing in 1:10. The images carry a note that these are prototypes and the final products are subject to change.

The reveal fits what McFarlane had teased over the summer. Back in July, trade reports said the company had 1:10 and 1:6 PVC statues of the film coming in fall 2026. This is the first time fans can see what those pieces actually look like.

The 1:6 pair is the showpiece. Doom stands in a dark green hood and flowing cloak over metallic armor, with a rocky base beneath his boots, while Thor stands next to him in black armor and a red cape, holding a heavy weapon over his shoulder. Thor’s look appears close to the Infinity War-era design that promo art for the film has suggested.
The 1:10 group is more dynamic. Doom stands with his arms crossed and his cloak draped behind him, while Cyclops leaps forward in a blue-and-yellow suit and Gambit is caught in motion behind him. The Thing swings a fist in a blue costume with the Fantastic Four emblem, and Mister Fantastic stretches an arm skyward in a white-and-blue jacket.
Cyclops is the standout in terms of costume. Teaser footage for the film shows James Marsden in a suit heavily inspired by the character’s look from ‘X-Men: The Animated Series’ and ‘X-Men ’97’. That is a clear nod to the comics and cartoons, and it is a big change from the black leather suits of the early films.
McFarlane is entering a market that is already full. Hasbro’s Marvel Legends wave includes Doom, Thor, Cyclops, Gambit, Captain America, Shang-Chi, Magneto, The Thing, and Mister Fantastic paired with H.E.R.B.I.E. Hot Toys has unveiled 1/6 scale versions of Doom with his throne, along with Magneto and Gambit.
LEGO has also joined in with a Doctor Doom bust and a Quinjet set, plus BrickHeadz of Thor, Gambit, The Thing and Doom. The sheer scale of the rollout shows how seriously the studio and its partners are treating the film. It also shows how much the villain’s design has become the face of the campaign.
McFarlane’s niche is the posed statue with a built-in scene, which gives collectors a display piece rather than a toy to rearrange. Pricing gives a sense of where the line sits. Walmart’s listing for The Thing in McFarlane’s 1:10 Gold Label line shows $34.97, which puts the smaller figures in affordable collector territory.

The film itself is the reason for all of it. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. Chris Hemsworth returns as Thor, while James Marsden and Channing Tatum play Cyclops and Gambit, with Pedro Pascal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Mister Fantastic and The Thing.
That cast is why the McFarlane lineup stands out. It pairs original Avengers, Fox-era X-Men and the new Fantastic Four in a single reveal, which mirrors the film’s 3-universe crossover. Doom looms over the whole display, which suits a movie built around his arrival.
Prototypes can change before they hit shelves, so details like paint and accessories could still shift. For now, the first look is a solid preview of how the film’s heroes and villain will translate into plastic.
