This isn’t his first time on the big screen. He made his acting debut in Get Rich or Die Tryin’ back in 2005 and has been in action movies like Den of Thieves and Expend4bles. Now, he’s stepping into the world of video game movies, and fans are already talking.

Callina Liang Cast as Chun-Li in Legendary’s New Live-Action ‘Street Fighter’ Movie

The new Street Fighter film is being made by Legendary Pictures and is set to release in 2026. The casting announcements are coming fast. Callina Liang will play Chun-Li, and comedian Andrew Schulz is stepping into the role of Dan Hibiki. Jason Momoa has also been confirmed as Blanka, which had already been rumored for a while.

There’s more, Noah Centineo is taking on Ken, Roman Reigns (yes, the WWE star) will be Akuma, and Andrew Koji, known for Warrior, is going to play the lead role of Ryu. Musician Orville Peck is also joining in as Vega.

The movie will be directed by Kitao Sakurai, best known for Bad Trip and his work with Eric Andre. With that kind of background, it sounds like the movie might have a wild and offbeat style. He and 50 Cent both bring some strong and strange energy to the table.

As for the plot, Legendary hasn’t shared anything yet. We don’t know how closely it’ll stick to the games, but the Street Fighter series has always been about global martial arts tournaments and shady underground organizations.

The main villain is usually M. Bison, who runs a group called Shadaloo. Since 1987, the games have sold over 55 million copies, making Street Fighter one of the biggest video game franchises ever.

With this mix of actors, from rappers to wrestlers to comedians, the cast is shaping up to be pretty unique. It’s not your average action movie lineup, and that might actually work in the film’s favor.

Fans of the games will definitely be watching to see how all these iconic characters come to life. And with 50 Cent in the mix, it’s clear this movie isn’t going to hold back.
