Deadly Movie Turns Real in New Look at Sci-Fi Horror ‘Test Screening’
A strange new sci-fi horror movie called “Test Screening” is on the way, and it sounds like something fans of creepy stories might enjoy.
The movie tells the story of four teenagers who hear about a mysterious test screening happening at their small-town cinema. When they decide to check it out, they quickly discover the film being shown isn’t just entertainment, it’s actually part of a mind-control experiment. As the movie plays, things start to go very wrong, leading to terrifying events none of them expected.
The first official poster for the movie was recently revealed, giving people their first real look at what’s coming. There’s also a trailer available now for fans who want a taste of the film’s style and tone.

“Test Screening” marks the feature film debut of Clark Baker as director. He’s better known for working behind the scenes on comedies like “The Eric Andre Show” and “Nathan For You”, so making a sci-fi horror movie is a big change for him. Baker didn’t write the script alone, he worked together with Stephen Susco, who is known for writing several horror films in the past. With Susco’s experience in horror, fans can probably expect some scary surprises.
Baker gave a short description of the movie’s style when he said it’s like “THE THING meets SOCIETY in a ‘Stranger Things’ universe.” That description hints at a mix of weird, creepy, and supernatural elements.
The main cast includes Johnny Berchtold, Rain Spencer, and Sean Bridgers. The movie had its first screening in the UK at FrightFest on August 22, 2024. It later showed up at Screamfest in the US on October 9, 2024. While people are waiting to know exactly when they can see it in regular theaters, it’s expected to release sometime in 2025 or 2026.
“Test Screening” seems to be gathering attention thanks to its strange plot and the shift of Clark Baker from comedy into the horror genre. Fans of sci-fi horror are curious to see how his first try at a scary movie will turn out.
