Apple TV+ has officially started filming Season 4 of the hit comedy series “Ted Lasso.” The production kicked off in Kansas City, and the crew will also shoot scenes in London. Fans got a first look at the new season, sparking excitement about what’s next for the show.

Jason Sudeikis is confirmed to return as the lovable coach Ted Lasso. Alongside him, original cast members like Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift are coming back too.

The show is also adding new faces, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely. Details about their characters are being kept secret for now, but it’s known that Feely will play Henry Lasso, Ted’s son.

The new season will follow Ted as he takes on a new challenge—coaching a second division women’s football team in Richmond.

According to the official description, “Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”

Jack Burditt joins the team as an executive producer under his deal with Apple TV+. Jason Sudeikis is also executive producing alongside Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel. Brett Goldstein will write and produce as well, working with Leanne Bowen. Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, and Liza Katzer are executive producers through Doozer Productions.

Writers like Sara Walker, Phoebe Walsh, and Julia Lindon are part of the team, with Sasha Garron and Dylan Marron also contributing behind the scenes. Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television are producing the show.

“Ted Lasso” first premiered in 2020 and quickly became a fan favorite, especially because of its positive message during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic. The series has earned 61 Emmy nominations and won 13, including back-to-back wins for best comedy series, and consecutive acting awards for Sudeikis and Goldstein.
