‘Gen V’ Season 2 Shows Off New Look Ahead of September Release

A brand new poster has just been revealed for Gen V Season 2, giving fans a fresh look at what’s coming next. Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that the show will return on September 17, 2025. The first three episodes will drop on premiere day, with new episodes coming out weekly until the finale on October 22.

This second season continues the story from The Boys Season 4. Marie Moreau and her friends are back at Godolkin University after a long and painful break. But things have changed.

There’s a new dean at the school, played by Hamish Linklater, and he’s training Supes to become soldiers. As a war between humans and Supes seems closer than ever, the team discovers a secret program that could change everything.

The main cast from the first season is returning. That includes Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, and Asa Germann. Hamish Linklater is joining them as Dean Cipher. Fans will also see guest appearances from Chace Crawford as The Deep and Valorie Curry as Firecracker, both from The Boys.

Sadly, Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson, will not appear this season after his death in March 2024. According to Amazon Prime Video, his character will not be recast.

Filming of the new season started in May 2024 and ended in October that year. Production was delayed earlier after Perdomo’s passing. In June 2024, Hamish Linklater was officially announced as part of the new cast.

Showrunner Michele Fazekas is leading the season, after taking over as sole showrunner. Eric Kripke, creator of The Boys, explained how the new season connects to the larger franchise, saying that “[Gen V] will be the first glimpse into the new world that was created at the end of S4.”

The new poster and fresh details hint at a darker story and bigger stakes. Fans now have a clear look at where this chaotic superhero show is heading next.
