Netflix is turning up the excitement for Wednesday Season 2 with a big fan event in Australia, and yes, Jenna Ortega will be there. The star of the hit series will appear in Sydney on August 16 alongside director Tim Burton, co-star Emma Myers, and the show’s creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.

The event will take place at Cockatoo Island and is part of the ongoing Doom Tour.

This global promotional tour has already made stops across Europe, the U.S., Canada, and South Korea. Now it’s Australia’s turn, just in time for Season 2. Part 1 of the new season is set to arrive on August 6, while Part 2 lands on September 3. Fans in Australia can register for tickets starting July 23.

Netflix has also dropped a brand-new image of Ortega, teasing what to expect:

The creators say Season 2 will dive deeper into the spooky and twisted world of Nevermore Academy. According to what Gough and Millar told Tudum, “This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries and old adversaries.”

Millar added, “Nothing is what it seems in Season 2.” He explained that Wednesday might think she knows how things work at Nevermore, but she’s in for some surprises. “It’s the first time she’s returned to a school willingly. But as soon as she gets back, nothing happens that she’s expecting,” he said. “She thinks she’s going to be in control, that she knows where all the bodies are buried — and she doesn’t.”

This new chapter will also bring a mix of familiar and fresh faces. Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, and Evie Templeton are joining as new series regulars. Guest stars will include big names like Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, Haley Joel Osment, Joanna Lumley, and even Lady Gaga, who is playing a mystery role.

Jenna Ortega has been open about the pressure that came with the show’s sudden success. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she said, “To be quite frank, after the show and trying to figure everything out, I was an unhappy person. After the pressure, the attention — as somebody who’s quite introverted, that was so intense and so scary.”

Despite that, Ortega is back and ready to bring more of Wednesday Addams to fans around the world. And with the cast heading to Australia, it looks like this season will be just as huge, and maybe even darker than the last.
