The new Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 5 trailer is out now, and it’s packed with action.

The trailer, which was released by Activision, shows off what players can expect when the new season launches on August 7, 2025. It’s fast, loud, and full of teases, just how fans like it.

First off, multiplayer in Black Ops 6 is getting four brand-new maps. The locations haven’t been shared yet, but every new season usually mixes close and mid-range styles. So expect fast fights and strategic shootouts in modes like Domination and Team Deathmatch. These maps are meant to shake things up and give players more options during matches.

Zombies is also hitting a major point. Season 5 will bring the final map for this story arc, and it’s called Reckoning. The devs confirmed this during a recent Call of Duty podcast. The setting is around Janus Towers in Liberty Falls. That’s where the current Zombies team and Edward Richtofen will go up against S.A.M. It all ties back to Season 3’s Shattered Veil mission. This is supposed to be the big ending to the story they’ve been building all year.

Over in Warzone, Verdansk continues to evolve. The Stadium, which returned earlier in the year, is now going to open up even more. Players will be able to get onto the rooftop and into the interior. Leakers have found data showing places like a boardroom and a computer room being added inside. There’s also mention of a “lockdown” feature, but it’s unclear if that’s for a mission, a mode, or just something to explore.

Weapons are a big part of every season, and this one is no different. While Activision hasn’t posted the full list, several game files hint at new gear. Four new weapons seem to be on the way, and two attachments too. The MP-40 submachine gun and M60 light machine gun were both found in recent datamining. Melee weapons like brass knuckles and a chainsaw are also being talked about, though it’s not confirmed if they’ll be in Season 5 right away.

And of course, there will be new game modes and events. Call of Duty is known for its limited-time content and big crossovers, and Season 5 should keep that going. The first confirmed collab is the Fisherman from I Know What You Did Last Summer. Activision teased this operator already, and it could be part of a horror theme that plays out during the season.

With everything lined up — new maps, new weapons, the final Zombies chapter, and more surprises — Season 5 looks like it’s going to be one of the most loaded updates we’ve seen in a while. It all kicks off on August 7, and there’s a good chance more info will drop as we get closer to launch.
