Wicked: For Good picks up where Wicked: Part One left off. This second film wraps up the story of Elphaba, played by Cynthia Erivo, and Glinda, played by Ariana Grande. Based on the hit Broadway musical and the book by Gregory Maguire, the movie takes fans even deeper into the backstory of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good, long before Dorothy drops into Oz.
The teaser doesn’t just show the return of these two main characters. It also teases the arrival of iconic places and people from the original Wizard of Oz, like the Emerald City, the yellow brick road, and of course, Dorothy herself. You’ll also get dramatic shots of the magical world and hints at the growing tension between Elphaba and Glinda as they go their separate ways.
Two new posters were also released featuring Glinda and Elphaba.

According to Universal Pictures, the studio behind the film, Wicked: For Good will explore how the friendship between the two witches changes as they become who the world now knows them to be.
Elphaba, now considered a villain by most, continues to fight for causes she believes in, while Glinda, now a public figure, works under the influence of the Wizard and Madame Morrible.
The teaser also gives a quick look at the bigger themes in the movie like power, identity, and loyalty. Director Jon M. Chu, who also helmed Crazy Rich Asians, is leading the project. Chu signed on after a long development process that began over a decade ago. Because the story is so detailed, the filmmakers decided to split it into two parts so they wouldn’t have to leave anything out.
The movie stars several familiar names returning from the first part, including Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard, and Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible. New footage confirms that Kerry Ellis, a past Elphaba on stage, will also appear in a secret cameo.
Wicked: For Good is set to hit theaters on November 21. If the teaser is anything to go by, fans of both Wicked and The Wizard of Oz are in for a big, colorful, and emotional finale.
