Florence Pugh Said to Be Engaged to ‘Peaky Blinders’ Star After Secret Romance Rumors

lorence Pugh is reportedly ready to tie the knot with Finn Cole, her co-star from Peaky Blinders. According to The Sun on August 3, the Thunderbolts* star and the British actor, both 29, have been dating for nearly a year and are now engaged.

The couple first sparked romance rumors back in September 2024 when they were seen together at an afterparty in East London.

“Finn and Florence have been in a bubble getting to know each other away from the spotlight,” a source told The Sun. “They are both putting everything into their careers but have found something special between them.”

Florence Pugh has spoken openly about her love life in the past year. In a cover interview for Harper’s Bazaar UK in May, she said she was in love and admitted, “I’m more sympathetic to the people who are in love with me, because it’s not easy! I’m tricky — I’m always busy, I can never make dates.” She continued, “But it’s not good enough for me to ask someone to just accept that. I’ll just end up alone. I don’t want that — I want a family.”

Earlier, in October 2024, Pugh confirmed she was dating someone but didn’t reveal the person’s name. She said, “We are figuring what we actually are. And I think for the first time, I’m not allowing myself to go on a roller-coaster. I’m allowing myself to take time to let something evolve and let it be completely real to its core, as opposed to racing into that.”

Before Finn Cole, Florence Pugh was linked to photographer Charlie Gooch, from whom she split in 2023 after about a year of dating. She also had a three-year relationship with Scrubs star Zach Braff, which ended in 2022.

Reflecting on her breakup with Braff during the filming of her 2024 movie We Live in Time, she said, “I think that movie forced me to realize I can’t wait for people anymore. I can’t accept this version of love. I have to help myself.”

From 2019 to 2022, Pugh lived with Zach Braff in Los Angeles, after meeting on the short film In the Time It Takes to Get There, which Braff directed.

She also addressed the public scrutiny over their 21-year age gap during their relationship. Afterward, she dated Charlie Gooch in 2023 before eventually finding love with Finn Cole.
