‘Black Rabbit’ Trailer Released: Jude Law and Jason Bateman Flee the Mob in New Netflix Series

Black Rabbit, a new Netflix drama, is coming this fall and it stars Jude Law and Jason Bateman. The limited series will land on Netflix on September 18, 2025, and the first trailer has already been released, giving a taste of the dark and tense story ahead.

The series was created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, who also serve as executive producers along with Law and Bateman. According to Netflix, the story follows Jake Friedken, played by Jude Law, who owns a successful New York City hotspot. His life changes when he lets his unpredictable brother Vince, played by Jason Bateman, back into his world. Their reunion sets off a series of dangerous events that could destroy everything Jake has built.

The cast also includes Cleopatra Coleman, Amaka Okafor, Sope Dirisu, Dagmara Domińczyk, Chris Coy, Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee, Odessa Young, Robin de Jesús, Amir Malaklou, Don Harvey, Forrest Weber, Francis Benhamou, Gus Birney, John Ales, Steve Witting, and Morgan Spector.

The project was first announced in 2022 with Jude Law and Jason Bateman attached from the beginning as both lead actors and producers. In March 2024, Cleopatra Coleman, Amaka Okafor, Sope Dirisu, and Dagmara Domińczyk were confirmed for the series. A month later, Chris Coy, Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee, Odessa Young, and Robin de Jesús joined the lineup. Filming took place in New York starting in April 2024.

Bateman is also stepping behind the camera to direct some episodes. Other directors include Laura Linney, Justin Kurzel, and Ben Semanoff. The list of executive producers is long, with Michael Costigan, Ben Jackson, Andrew Hinderaker, Zac Frognowski, Justin Levy, David Bernon, and Erica Kay all involved.
