Street Fighter is an upcoming action film directed by Kitao Sakurai and written by Dalan Musson. It’s the third live-action adaptation of the classic fighting game by Capcom, and it’s meant to reboot the film series for a new generation.

The movie has a big cast, including Centineo, Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Roman Reigns, Orville Peck, Callina Liang, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Andrew Schulz, David Dastmalchian, Cody Rhodes, Hirooki Goto, and Vidyut Jammwal.

Legendary Entertainment got the rights to make live-action Street Fighter films and TV shows in April 2023, and development started soon after with Capcom co-producing.

The Philippou brothers were first announced as directors but left the project in June 2024. Kitao Sakurai then joined as director in February 2025. By May 2025, casting was in motion, with Centineo, Koji, Momoa, and Reigns negotiating to star.

The rest of the main cast, including Peck, Liang, Jackson, and Schulz, was added over the following months, with Dastmalchian, Rhodes, Goto, and Jammwal rounding out the ensemble in July. Filming officially began in August 2025.

In terms of characters, Noah Centineo is taking on Ken Masters, while Andrew Koji will play Ryu. Jason Momoa steps into the role of Blanka, and Roman Reigns takes on Akuma. Orville Peck plays Vega, Callina Liang is Chun-Li, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson plays Balrog, and Andrew Schulz is Dan Hibiki.

David Dastmalchian is cast as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes plays Guile, Hirooki Goto is E. Honda, and Vidyut Jammwal will portray Dhalsim.

Fans are already excited to see Centineo’s transformation for the role. The first behind-the-scenes look shows just how seriously the actor has trained and prepared to bring the iconic fighter to life.
