A Full-Scale Replica of Doctor Doom’s Throne Has Landed in a Philippine Mall Ahead of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

Marvel’s promotional push for its biggest upcoming crossover has spread well beyond traditional trailers and posters, with the studio leaning heavily into elaborate physical displays to build anticipation around the world. The latest example of that strategy has now landed in an unexpected location, giving fans a chance to stand face-to-face with one of the film’s most striking visual centerpieces.

A full-scale replica of Doctor Doom’s throne from “Avengers: Doomsday” has been set up on display inside a mall in the Philippines, complete with an illuminated Avengers logo and a live countdown clock ticking down to the film’s December release. The display recreates the imposing, angular throne design first revealed at earlier promotional events, surrounded by dramatic green lighting and stone-carved steps etched with alien-style symbols.

This isn’t the throne’s first public appearance, either. A similar recreation of Doctor Doom’s throne room previously debuted at a convention event in China back in July, giving fans their first detailed look at the elaborate set piece ahead of the film’s marketing rollout later that summer.
