A New ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Trailer Is Reportedly Coming Sooner than Expected, and Marvel’s Final Marketing Push Is Just Getting Started
Marvel’s marketing machine has rarely been quiet, but the months before a December release are when it really shifts gears. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has already had teasers, a full trailer, a Comic-Con special look and a World Series cameo. Fans are naturally asking how much more the studio has left to reveal.
Plenty, according to a new set of rumors. The latest chatter follows a rollercoaster of trailer speculation, including unconfirmed claims that a new trailer would drop on Friday, October 23, at 9 a.m. ET. Marvel never confirmed it, and the studio debuted a World Series promo instead.
The next ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ trailer is reportedly arriving around mid-November, according to an industry insider. The same source says Marvel plans more concession reveals next week, a new promo during Diwali week and an exclusive look on Disney+ next month. As with any insider report, the details are unconfirmed, and Marvel hasn’t officially announced any of it.

If the report is accurate, the final stretch before release would be packed with beats. Concession reveals would come first, followed by a promo during Diwali week. A Disney+ exclusive would follow in November, with the trailer landing around the middle of the month.
The timing fits a typical pre-release pattern. Marvel has often used trailers roughly a month before a big opening to keep awareness high, and the Disney+ exclusive would give subscribers a reason to tune in. Another insider had also pointed to a new trailer arriving sometime in October, which didn’t happen, so fans are right to keep expectations in check.
The appetite for new footage is enormous. The first full trailer racked up 503 million views in its first 24 hours, making it Disney’s biggest trailer launch ever and the second-biggest in history behind ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ which reached 719 million. Those numbers help explain why Marvel is parceling out new material so carefully.
Footage has come in several forms. Four teasers ran in theaters ahead of ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash,’ a trailer debuted at San Diego Comic-Con, and a special look followed at D23. Marvel has been careful to call some of that footage a special look rather than a trailer, which leaves room for another official release.
The most recent release, a promo that aired during Game 1 of the World Series, split opinion. It wasn’t the extended clip some fans expected, but rather a standard promo with new scenes spliced with footage of real baseball players. One outlet described it as a fun spot aimed at a general audience rather than hardcore fans.
That context makes the mid-November report appealing. Fans who felt underwhelmed by the baseball teaser are hoping the next trailer will deliver a larger chunk of story, perhaps more of the Doctor Doom confrontation and the multiverse collision.
The mention of concession reveals suggests more merchandise is on the way. Popcorn buckets and collector cans have been a major part of the campaign, and theaters are expected to announce their lineups as release day approaches. One site has been tracking the popcorn bucket coverage and noting that Doctor Doom has landed on 8 collector cans.
Merchandise reveals tend to cluster around major marketing beats, so it’s no surprise they’re mentioned alongside the trailer. They also give fans a chance to see new character designs in advance.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and brings together the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and the Wakandans as Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor von Doom threatens the multiverse. Tickets for premium Infinity Vision screenings have been on sale since July, and the film’s runtime is 165 minutes. It opens on December 18, the same day as ‘Dune: Part Three,’ with ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ following on December 17, 2027.
With less than 2 months to go, every new trailer carries extra weight. Whether the mid-November report proves accurate will be clear soon enough.
