Alexander Skarsgård (49) Stuns Fans With Dior Look at Berlin ‘Pillion’ Premiere
Alexander Skarsgård proved once again that he’s not afraid to take risks on the red carpet during a special screening of Pillion in Berlin on March 20. Fans might have thought his bold fashion choices were behind him after his 2025 press tour, but the Swedish actor showed that his adventurous style is very much alive.
For the event, Skarsgård wore a purple embellished tank top from Dior’s Fall collection, inspired by a 1922 Paul Poiret design. The piece stands out for its playful and slightly rebellious feel, continuing the trend Skarsgård has been exploring on recent red carpets.
“It’s clear he’s committed to this new fashion lane,” said a stylist close to the actor, noting the similarities to the daring looks often worn by Harry Styles, who shares the same stylist, Harry Lambert.

While the top made a statement, some observers noted that the fit was tighter than expected. The runway version had a looser silhouette, but on Skarsgård, the tank clung more closely to his torso.
This caused the embellished detailing to look a bit compressed rather than flowing naturally. Sources say this could have been due to limited sample sizing or perhaps a deliberate choice to echo the film’s BDSM themes.
Regardless of the fit, Skarsgård’s boldness was the main takeaway. He continues to challenge traditional menswear norms and brings an experimental energy that keeps fans talking.
Outside the red carpet, Skarsgård has been busy with several projects this year. He recently wrapped his role in A24’s mockumentary The Moment, starring alongside Charli XCX.
Fans are also eagerly awaiting his performance in the gothic horror film The Wolf Will Tear Your Immaculate Hands, directed by Nathalie Álvarez Mesén, which is set to premiere in May.
In Pillion, Skarsgård stars opposite Harry Melling, portraying a mysterious biker who becomes involved in a complex relationship with a shy young man. Directed by Harry Lighton, the film has been praised for its thoughtful and authentic approach to exploring kink subcultures.
With this mix of film and television work, Skarsgård is proving himself as one of the most versatile actors working today. He remains a regular presence on the international festival circuit and is expected to appear at additional screenings as Pillion rolls out globally. His willingness to experiment with both his craft and his style keeps fans eager to see what he does next.
