Amanda Seyfried Slams Charlie Kirk’s ‘Hateful’ Comments Following Assassination
Amanda Seyfried has come under fire after a screenshot of a comment she allegedly made about conservative influencer Charlie Kirk began circulating on social media on September 15.
The image appears to show Seyfried’s Instagram account responding to a post featuring Kirk alongside a July tweet in which he wrote, “Zero people from Gaza should be allowed to come to America. Period.” Seyfried’s comment reportedly read, “He was hateful.”

It is unclear where the original post featuring Kirk first appeared, and the screenshot does not show the account that shared it. The post has sparked heated debate online, with some users accusing Seyfried of being insensitive in the wake of Kirk’s murder.
Later the same day, Seyfried shared another message on her Instagram Story, writing, “You can’t invite violence to the dinner table and be shocked when it starts eating.” The post seemed to comment on discussions surrounding Kirk’s legacy and drew further criticism from social media users.

In the comments on her pinned Instagram post, some people called Seyfried’s remarks inappropriate, while others questioned her understanding of Kirk’s work.
The actress is currently promoting her upcoming psychological thriller The Housemaid, co-starring Sydney Sweeney, which is set to release on December 19.
