Amanda Seyfried Was Stunned by Sydney Sweeney’s Breasts — Says She Had to Ask If They’re Real
Sydney Sweeney has addressed plastic surgery speculation before, but nothing quite settled the debate like what happened during a Vanity Fair lie detector test alongside her ‘The Housemaid’ co-star Amanda Seyfried.
Seyfried opened with what she called the question that had been on everybody’s mind, asking Sweeney point-blank whether her breasts were real, to which Sweeney laughed, nodded, and confirmed they were. The lie detector examiner on set confirmed that both answers were truthful.
When Seyfried followed up by asking whether Sweeney had ever had any work done on them specifically, the actress shook her head and replied, “No, I’ve never gotten any work done anywhere.” Seyfried then quipped, “Can I touch them?” and Sweeney, amused, told her she could.
It was the second time in the same week that Sweeney had addressed the same rumors head-on. In an earlier interview, she said she wanted to debunk all of the speculation at once, saying she had never had any work done and adding, “I am so scared of needles, you have no idea.”
She also pushed back on the comparisons people had been making between old and recent photos of her, pointing out that comparing a photo of herself at 12 to one taken at 26 with professional makeup and lighting was not a fair or honest benchmark.
Sweeney and Seyfried starred together in ‘The Housemaid’, a psychological thriller directed by Paul Feig and released in December of last year, which went on to gross over $400 million worldwide against a $35 million budget. A sequel adapting the second book in Freida McFadden’s series has already been greenlit, with Feig and Sweeney set to return.
The ongoing conversation around Sweeney’s body is one she has navigated publicly for years, largely as a result of her work in ‘Euphoria’ and the cultural buzz that followed.
She has spoken openly about feeling confident and strong in her own skin, and has framed her refusal to shy away from nudity on screen as a deliberate choice made for herself rather than for anyone else’s perception of her.
