‘Andor’ Season 2 Early Buzz Calls It the Best Star Wars Show Yet: “Utterly riveting, emotionally devastating storytelling”

The Force is strong with Andor once again. Early reactions to Season 2 are pouring in, and fans and critics alike are calling it the best Star Wars TV yet.

With intense drama, sharp writing, and a powerful performance from Diego Luna, the final season promises a thrilling lead-up to Rogue One — and possibly a new high point for the galaxy far, far away.

Andor was first planned to have five seasons, according to the show’s cinematographer, Adriano Goldman. But later, the team realized that making five seasons was just too big and too hard to manage. At Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm confirmed that the show would now end with a second season of 12 episodes.

Tony Gilroy, the creator, explained that instead of dragging the story out, they chose to end it with one more season that leads right into the events of Rogue One. This made the story tighter and easier to complete, and as it turns out, more emotionally devastating.
