All 5 Ant-Man’s MCU Movies & Appearances in Order
Ant-Man movies are a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and they follow Scott Lang, a.k.a. Ant-Man, a superhero with the ability to shrink in size, among other abilities. With Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’s release, the trilogy is seemingly at an end. Now, let’s take a look at the full watch order.
1. Ant-Man ( 2015 )

Synopsis: When an ex-convict, Scott Lang, comes to possession of a suit that grants him the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, he must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym.
Scott must protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from the new threats that are arising. Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world. Scott also must use his new abilities to stop Darren Cross from completing his version of the suit.
2. Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Synopsis: When the Avengers’ action resulted in many people fearing their actions, the government decided to present the Hero Registration Act, a law limiting heroes’ actions. The Avengers members have different opinions about this Act, so a division in their orders occurs.
Iron Man stands with this Act, claiming that their actions must be kept in check otherwise, cities will continue to be destroyed, but Captain America is against this Act as he claims that governments are not always right and sometimes the right choices have to be made regardless of government rules. So, their dispute leads to a war between Team Iron Man and Team Captain America.
3. Ant-Man and the Wasp ( 2018 )

Synopsis: It’s been two years since the Sokovia Accords, and Scott Lang was placed on house arrest due to choosing, in the government’s eyes, the wrong side back then. Hank Pym and his daughter Hope believe Pym’s wife Janet might be trapped in the quantum realm as she shrank to sub-atomic levels in 1987 when they were on a mission.
When Scott realizes that he’s been receiving messages from Janet from the quantum realm, he shares that with Hank and Hope. Scott teams up with Hank and Hope to build a stable tunnel so they can take a vehicle to the quantum realm and retrieve Janet. Along the way, they turn to the black market dealer, Sonny Burch, for a part they need, but he double-crosses them.
4. Avengers: Endgame

Synopsis: Five years after Thanos snapped his fingers and wiped half of the Universe from existence, the Universe is in ruins. The remains of the Avengers team must assemble once more to undo Thanos’s actions and the chaos he made in the Universe.
5. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)

The plot of the third Ant-Man movie involves the heroes exploring the Quantum Realm, with new villain Kang the Conqueror, introduced. Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie was working on a project with Hank to communicate with the Quantum Realm, but Janet shut it down due to danger.
However, Cassie’s machine malfunctions and sucks the Ant-Family into the Quantum Realm, where they encounter a civilization of Freedom Fighters led by Jentorra. Meanwhile, Hope and her family meet Krylar and learn that Kang is aware of their presence in the Quantum Realm. The group ultimately confronts Kang, with Scott dealing with a probability storm to save the day.
Kang takes Janet and Cassie captive and plans to use an army he built in the Quantum Realm to kill those responsible for exiling him. Cassie escapes and rallies other freedom fighters to fight against Kang, with Scott and the Ant-Family arriving to help stop Kang. In the battle, Kang kills many freedom fighters, but Hank arrives with his ant army to overwhelm Kang’s forces. After defeating Kang, the group returns to the outside world, but Scott remains uneasy about Kang’s warning.
Where to watch Ant-Man movies?

You can watch all Ant-Man movies on the Disney+ streaming platform. The same goes for Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame.
What is the best way to watch Ant-Man movies? Do you need to watch them in order?

The best way to watch all the movies where Ant-Man appears is by watching them in order of release. This means starting with the first Ant-Man movie, then watching Captain America: Civil War. After that, you should watch Ant-Man and the Wasp and the Avengers: Endgame. Your watch order should be complete with Quantumania, which takes place after the events that transpired during the Endgame. By watching the movies in this order, you’ll connect more with the characters and the storyline of the movies.
It would be best to watch the Ant-Man movies and other movies where Ant-Man appears by their release date. The first Ant-Man movie is more of Scott’s origin story, where he becomes Ant-Man. In Captain America: Civil War, he is introduced into the Avengers squad for the first time. Ant-Man and the Wasp storyline is connected with the events from Captain America: Civil War and directly with the events in Avengers: Endgame later on. Quantumania gives more depth to Lang’s story, and as the first movie in MCU’s phase 5, it introduces a new (not so long-lasting though) villain, Kang the Conqueror.
