Apple TV+ is getting ready to release a new dark comedy thriller series called “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed,” and it puts Tatiana Maslany in the middle of a very messy and dangerous situation.

The show stars Maslany as Paula, a divorced mother who is struggling to manage her daily life. She is dealing with her divorce, raising her kids, and trying to keep everything together when her life suddenly takes a dark turn. While trying to handle her normal routine, she ends up witnessing what looks like a serious crime.

Things get worse quickly. The people involved in the crime seem to know personal details about her life, which puts her in danger. Paula then finds herself caught in a mix of blackmail, threats, and murder, and she has to figure out how to survive while everything around her falls apart.

The teaser for the series shows Paula in a pawn shop where she sells jewelry and even thinks about buying a gun. It also shows her struggling with her kids, dealing with her ex-husband, and trying to understand what she saw. She starts digging deeper, looking into online videos and building a kind of case board to connect the clues. At the same time, she realizes someone is watching her closely, and she cannot fully trust the people around her.

The series comes from creator David J. Rosen, with David Gordon Green directing. Collider reports that Green is known for his work on projects like “The Righteous Gemstones” and the “Halloween” reboot films. The show also has executive producers Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon, along with Bard Dorros.

“Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” is set to premiere on May 20 on Apple TV+.
