‘Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute’ Now Available in the West With New Features

Fans of classic mecha games can now enjoy Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute, which has finally been released outside of Japan. While the game was previously available on the Nintendo Switch, it was only in Japan. Now, Western players can experience this exciting title with new updates and improvements.
Assault Suit Leynos 2 was originally a Japan-exclusive game from the 90s. It follows the success of Assault Suit Leynos and Assault Suit Valken. This latest release includes modern features and upgrades that improve the overall gameplay. Players will once again take control of powerful mechs and engage in intense battles.
The game is set in the year 2123 AD, where the Xenes Federation is at war with the Republic of Sanlar. One year into the conflict, Sanlar’s forces are struggling against the powerful Xenesian army.
In a desperate move, the President of Sanlar calls upon the 12th Special Armoured Corps, a unit made up of misfits and troublemakers. Despite their reputation, this squad has a history of accomplishing the impossible. Their mission is to change the course of the war.
As a side-scrolling shooter, Assault Suit Leynos 2 puts players in the pilot seat of an advanced Leynos assault suit. They will face a mechanized army in action-packed battles. The game features a gripping story and gameplay inspired by classic robot anime.
It serves as a sequel to the 1990 game Assault Suit Leynos, which was released on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis under the name Target Earth in the US. The series also gave rise to Assault Suit Valken, known as Cybernator, which became a hit on the Super Nintendo in 1992.
Players can choose from different assault suits and equip them with a variety of weapons. The game includes seven challenging stages where players must adjust their suit’s parameters to improve their chances of survival. More powerful weapons have been unlocked in this version due to bug fixes.
The game also features a dynamic camera system that adjusts based on the player’s weapon loadout. Players can choose between automatic and manual aiming, adding a layer of strategy to the game. The difficulty level increases as the game progresses, making each battle more intense.
To enhance the gameplay, several modern features have been added. Players can now rewind mistakes, save and load progress quickly, and use slow mode for better control.
Additional options like button customization, rapid fire, and increased boost functionality make the experience smoother. The game also includes a hint system to assist players.
With all these updates, Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute offers both longtime fans and new players a fresh way to experience this classic mecha shooter. It is now available for Western audiences, bringing a long-awaited release to fans of the series.
