‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Cast Reunites in a New Promo as Philippine Tickets Go On Sale

Marvel’s biggest team-up in years is getting closer, and the studio is using every trick to keep the hype building. The ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ promotional push now includes quick cast clips designed to remind fans that the release is just around the corner. A new one is making the rounds, and it features some of the film’s biggest names.

The movie is set for release in the US on December 18, and it brings back the Russo brothers as directors. Filming took place from April to September 2025 at Pinewood Studios in England, and Robert Downey Jr. steps in as Victor von Doom, also known as Doctor Doom. The cast includes MCU regulars alongside actors from Fox’s X-Men films, and the story follows heroes from three universes on a deadly collision course.

Now the film’s Philippine marketing has released a short promo. It shows Winston Duke, Paul Rudd and Downey standing in front of a stained-glass window, with Letitia Wright and Tenoch Huerta also billed in the clip. On-screen text reads “In cinemas December 16,” with “tickets on sale now” at the bottom, and it was posted by Marvel Studios Philippines.

The date lines up with the film’s early international rollout. Tribune reported that tickets went on sale Thursday for Infinity Vision-certified screens in the Philippines, with tickets for regular cinemas following on October 16. The film arrives in Philippine cinemas for a limited time on December 16, two days before the US release.

Infinity Vision is the new Premium Large Format certification from Disney and Marvel, promising larger screens, brighter visuals and immersive sound. It is also the format that Marvel has pushed for the ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ re-release, which opened in the Philippines on September 23 with an exclusive look at ‘Doomsday’.

The early date fits a pattern. Other territories are also set for December 16, including the UK, where Disney confirmed the earlier release, and reports have listed Brazil, Italy and Norway on the same day.

Each of the actors in the clip has a major part in the movie. Wright plays Shuri and Duke plays M’Baku, both seen in official images alongside the Dora Milaje, Ben Grimm, Sue Storm, Bucky Barnes, Falcon and Ghost. Rudd returns as Scott Lang, with Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang.

Downey is the centerpiece, of course. After playing Iron Man, he now returns as the villain, and the marketing has leaned heavily on that twist. Huerta rounds out the promo as part of an ensemble that also includes Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh and dozens more.

The clip is just eight seconds long, so it doesn’t reveal anything about the story. What it does is reinforce the scale of the cast, which is exactly the point.

The promo is one of many pieces in a marketing machine that has been running for months. Marvel unveiled a new trailer and poster at D23 in August, and tickets went on sale in the US soon after through Fandango and other sellers. The cast also appeared at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H.

The hype has translated into numbers. TheWrap reported that ‘Doomsday’ had already racked up more than $50 million in presales and was expected to challenge the $360 million domestic opening record of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ and the $1.22 billion global opening record of ‘Avengers: Endgame’. The film also runs approximately 165 minutes, according to its Wikipedia page.

Late work has made some fans nervous, since reports said additional photography continued deep into the summer. Even so, the ticket sales and early release dates suggest Disney is confident in the film’s momentum. With ‘Endgame Encore’ now in theaters, the story continues in December.
