Marvel fans may finally be getting their first real look at Avengers: Doomsday sooner than expected.

Speculation about the movie’s first trailer exploded online after comments made by Donald Mustard, the former creative director of Fortnite and now a member of the Russo brothers’ production company, AGBO. According to information shared by IGN, Mustard recently posted a message on X that immediately caught the attention of Marvel fans.

In the post, Mustard shared details about an upcoming event in London and revealed that it would begin at 10 a.m. local time. What really got people talking, however, was his mention of a “surprise at 2pm.” While he did not explain what that surprise would be, many fans quickly started wondering if it could be connected to Avengers: Doomsday.

The timing has fueled even more excitement because Avengers: Doomsday directors Joe and Anthony Russo are scheduled to appear at the SXSW London 2026 festival tomorrow. Mustard will also be joining them during the event as part of AGBO, the production company the trio now works with.

As soon as Mustard’s post appeared online, fans began predicting that Marvel Studios could use the event to unveil the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. While nothing has been officially confirmed, many believe the pieces are starting to line up.

The latest rumor also follows another mysterious tease from the Russo brothers. Recently, the filmmakers shared an image that featured nothing but a green color. At first, fans were left confused by the simple post. However, later teaser images reportedly revealed that the green shade was connected to Latveria, the fictional country ruled by Doctor Doom in Marvel Comics.

The symbol associated with Doctor Doom was also spotted in connection with the teaser campaign, leading many fans to believe that Marvel is preparing to focus heavily on the iconic villain as marketing for Avengers: Doomsday ramps up.

Even so, there are still questions about whether Marvel would choose a festival event in London to debut such a major trailer. Some fans believe the studio may instead save the footage for its Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con next month, one of the biggest stages in entertainment.

Others point out that Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives before Avengers: Doomsday and could be the next Marvel project to receive a new trailer. Because of that, there is still uncertainty about what exactly the surprise announcement will be.

For now, Marvel Studios remains silent, leaving fans to speculate. Whether it turns out to be a full trailer, a teaser, new footage, or simply another reveal tied to Doctor Doom, excitement surrounding Avengers: Doomsday continues to grow.

According to IGN, all eyes will be on tomorrow’s event as fans wait to see if Marvel finally lifts the curtain on one of the most anticipated superhero movies in recent memory.

Avengers: Doomsday is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 18, with Avengers: Secret Wars set to follow on December 17, 2027.
