Crispin Hellion Glover, the actor best known for playing George McFly in Back to the Future, is facing a new lawsuit from a woman in the United Kingdom. The lawsuit, filed by a woman using the name Jane Doe, claims that Glover manipulated her into moving from Europe to his home in Los Angeles.

According to court documents obtained by media outlets, she says he promised career opportunities but treated her poorly once she arrived. Jane Doe says Glover first contacted her through social media back in 2015 and kept messaging her for years. They eventually met in Germany in 2023, and she claims the meeting was strange and unsettling.

She alleges that he showed her Nazi memorabilia from his private collection. Despite these concerns, she stayed in contact because Glover reportedly offered her work in Hollywood.

By early 2024, she says, he convinced her to sell her things and stop paying rent so she could move in as his assistant, only to find out he expected her to be his girlfriend and work without pay.

The woman claims the situation got worse in March 2024 when she tried to leave the house to go to a mosque. She says Glover threatened to lock her out, and when she returned, he did exactly that.

She says that when she tried to get back inside to collect her cats and belongings, Glover attacked her, grabbing her neck and putting her in a chokehold. The lawsuit states that the incident left her with a visible scar, and she says Glover then called the police, reporting her as an intruder.

Glover has denied all the claims. A representative for the actor told reporters that the allegations are baseless and a meritless fabrication. They say that Glover was actually the one assaulted by Jane Doe and that the LAPD arrested her after investigating.

They also mention a restraining order that Glover filed against her as evidence of his version of events. Jane Doe, through her lawyer Dev Das, is seeking damages for battery, fraud, and emotional distress. She claims she remains homeless and traumatized because of the incident.

The case is currently ongoing in the Los Angeles courts. Glover has said he will defend himself vigorously against the accusations. This lawsuit comes while he is also active in the independent film world, celebrating recent projects.

In late 2025, Glover starred in A Blind Bargain, a movie inspired by a lost 1922 Lon Chaney silent film. He played two roles in the film, including an unhinged doctor and a creature-man. He also starred in Mr. K, a thriller directed by Tallulah H. Schwab, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and toured European festivals later in the year.

Glover has also finished a personal project called No! YOU’RE WRONG. Or: Spooky Action at a Distance. The film is notable for featuring the last screen appearance of his late father, Bruce Glover, and it is the first time they acted together.
