The wait is over, Battlefield 6 has officially been revealed, and the new trailer is packed with action, destruction, and a powerful enemy force that’s shaking things up.

Electronic Arts dropped the reveal trailer on July 24, 2025, giving players a first full look at the next game in the long-running shooter series. The game brings the action back to a modern warfare setting and introduces a brand-new threat: Pax Armata.

The trailer wastes no time. It shows battles breaking out in city streets, jets fighting in the sky, tanks rolling through debris, and buildings crumbling as the fight unfolds. It’s loud, fast, and explosive. EA confirmed that the full multiplayer reveal will happen on July 31, 2025, so more gameplay is just around the corner.

One of the biggest reveals is the enemy itself. Pax Armata is a massive private military group with some serious firepower. They’re not just villains, they used to be part of NATO. Now, they’ve turned against it. The official trailer description says, “Witness the vicious path of destruction carved by Pax Armata, the world’s leading private military company. PAX pursues the destruction of NATO and its allies, stopping at nothing to uphold their motto: ‘Our Protection, Your Peace.’” Sounds like things are about to get messy.

According to Electronic Arts, the game is being made by Battlefield Studios, which is actually a team-up between four different game developers: DICE, Ripple Effect Studios, Motive Studio, and Criterion Games. Back in February 2025, EA launched something called Battlefield Labs. This was a private test version of the game that let some lucky players try it early. Not long after, in March, test footage started leaking online. Those leaks showed off early gameplay and confirmed the modern setting.

The game’s name was accidentally leaked on July 19, 2025, when EA sent out packages to content creators with the Battlefield 6 logo. A couple of days later, on July 21, Battlefield Studios confirmed that there would be an open beta before the game’s full launch.

On July 23, just a day before the trailer dropped, the official Battlefield social media posted a short teaser. It hinted that some countries that used to be part of NATO, including France, are now fighting alongside Pax Armata.

The trailer also promises everything you’d expect from Battlefield: intense infantry firefights, high-speed dogfights, and massive destruction everywhere. As EA put it in the game’s official description, “Lock & load for the ultimate all-out warfare experience. Fight in high-intensity infantry combat. Rip through the skies in aerial dogfights. Demolish your environment for a strategic advantage. In a war of tanks, fighter jets, and massive combat arsenals, your squad is the deadliest weapon. This is Battlefield 6.”

Battlefield 6 is the 13th game in the series, coming after Battlefield 2042, which was released back in 2021. With a new enemy, a return to modern warfare, and large-scale battles across land, air, and sea, this one looks like it’s going big. EA is clearly aiming to bring Battlefield back to the top of the FPS world. The beta is coming soon, and based on what we’ve seen so far, fans won’t want to miss it.
