Hassie Harrison is joining the cast of the new Baywatch reboot, which is in development at Fox and Fremantle. The 35-year-old actress, best known for playing Laramie on Yellowstone, will play a new character named Nat.

Nat is described as a former foster kid who became an Olympic athlete before turning into a professional lifeguard. According to Deadline, she is smart, hardworking, and serves as the right-hand person to the show’s lead, Hobie Buchannon.

Stephen Amell will star as Hobie, the son of the original Baywatch hero Mitch Buchannon. The story follows Hobie as he adjusts to the arrival of his estranged daughter, Charlie, who wants to join the lifeguard team.

The cast also includes Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale and Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad. Fans of the original series will be happy to know that David Chokachi is returning as Cody Madison, now running a beachside spot called The Shoreline.

Filming for the 12-episode first season is set to start in Los Angeles this spring. Fox plans to air the series as part of its 2026–2027 lineup, bringing the famous red swimsuits back to TV.

Fox Entertainment President Michael Thorn said last year, “In its first run, Baywatch defined an entire era of beach life and elevated lifeguards to an iconic status. Now, with our partners at Fremantle, this television juggernaut is set for a modern-day comeback.”

He added that the reboot will “bring the California dream to a whole new generation of fans with fresh stories, rising stars and all the spectacle that makes the Baywatch franchise a global sensation.”

Harrison has stayed busy since her three-season run on Yellowstone. In 2025, she appeared in the thriller Dangerous Animals and recently finished filming Deep Eddy, a story about a writer searching for his missing partner.

She is also working on Paramount’s Western thriller The Rescue with Brandon Sklenar and will star in the action movie Raven alongside Anthony Mackie and Pablo Schreiber. On the personal side, Harrison recently married Yellowstone co-star Ryan Bingham in a Western-style ceremony at her family’s Texas ranch. The couple first met on the set of the series.

From the mountains of Montana to the sunny beaches of Southern California, Harrison is taking her career in exciting new directions. Fans of the original Baywatch are eager to see how her character, Nat, will shape the team and continue the legacy of the world’s most famous lifeguards.
