Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni faced each other in court this week in Manhattan as they tried to settle their high-profile legal battle. The hearing on February 11 was a court-ordered settlement conference meant to avoid a public trial.

But the talks lasted nearly seven hours and ended without an agreement, according to Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman. The case is now set for a jury trial on May 18. In a scene that caught everyone’s attention, both actors appeared to be wearing matching outfits—olive green and pink—which onlookers noticed immediately.

Many social media users called it a bizarre coincidence that seemed almost like unintentional harmony amid their legal fight. This was the first time the two have been in the same courtroom since Lively filed her complaint in late 2024. She claims she faced sexual harassment and retaliation while working on a film and says Baldoni and his team tried to smear her reputation.

Baldoni has denied the allegations, calling them false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious with an intent to hurt, according to statements shared by his legal team. The courtroom discussions were led by Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave. While Baldoni left the courthouse looking composed and smiling with his wife, Emily, Lively appeared more serious and did not speak to reporters.

The legal battle has been complicated over the past year, pulling in other celebrities and even causing some lawsuits against news outlets to be dismissed. Lively’s team has suggested that friends like Taylor Swift and Ryan Reynolds could provide information during the trial.

Despite the ongoing lawsuit, both actors are continuing their careers. Blake Lively returned to the screen in the 2025 sequel to Another Simple Favor, which received positive reviews. She is also preparing a new romantic comedy, The Survival List, where she plays a reality TV producer stranded on an island with a fraudulent survival expert.

Justin Baldoni is keeping busy behind the camera with his production company, Wayfarer Studios. He recently produced the sports drama The Senior, starring Michael Chiklis, and is reportedly developing a documentary series about male vulnerability and modern fatherhood, continuing the work he has explored in his earlier books and podcast.
