Bryana Holly is speaking out after facing harsh comments online about her appearance at a major Hollywood event. The model, who is married to actor Nicholas Hoult, attended the Vanity Fair Oscars Party and quickly became the subject of body-shaming on social media.

Holly, 32, wore a black sequined Lurelly dress with a deep neckline, and some people online focused heavily on her chest. After seeing the criticism, she decided to respond directly on her Instagram Stories and explain what people were actually seeing.

“I am seeing the comments around my chest,” she wrote. “This is the product of a breastfeeding mother who hasn’t fed her babies in hours ok! If you know then you know. You are not owed an explanation.” Her response was shared via her own Instagram, where she made it clear she wasn’t interested in justifying her body to strangers.

Holly and Hoult have been together since 2017. They have two children, including an eight-year-old son named Joaquin and a younger child born in late 2022. The couple usually keeps their family life private, but Hoult has spoken in the past about what it is really like to be a parent.

In an earlier interview with the Evening Standard, Hoult opened up about how intense parenting can be. “The levels of tiredness are extreme,” he said. But he also made it clear that the good moments make everything worth it. “No one warns you about it! But the level of love that comes with it outweighs everything. It’s phenomenal. I’m loving it.”

He also talked about how quickly kids grow and how that changes you as a person. “(Children) change so much, every day is different. It fills you up as a human completely.”

Hoult has been in the public eye for most of his life. He started acting as a child and became widely known after starring in the film About a Boy with Hugh Grant. Speaking at the Red Sea Film Festival, he said people often warned him about how hard it is for child actors to succeed later in life.

“There was this fear sitting after that because everyone then, even as a kid, everyone talks to you about how child actors stop working, their life goes off the rails, and it doesn’t work out as an adult,” he said.

Even with those worries, Hoult said he always wanted to keep acting, though he stayed realistic about his chances. “You have this fear of what’s to come, but even then, I knew I wanted to continue doing it. I was also slightly guarded about it, I suppose, because I was like, there’s a good chance this doesn’t work out.”

He credits his parents for keeping him grounded and says they made sure he had a normal upbringing, including going to a regular school. He also said Hugh Grant had a big impact on him early on by showing him how to act professionally on set.

Over the years, Hoult has built a strong career, appearing in projects like Skins, the X-Men films, The Menu, and The Great. He has also taken on major roles in newer films, including playing Lex Luthor in Superman and appearing in Nosferatu.

For Holly, though, the focus right now is much simpler. Her message was clear and direct, and it came straight from her own words on social media. She reminded people that there is always more going on behind what they see online, and that not everything needs to be explained.
