‘Camp Rock 3’s’ Reign Can’t Stop the Avengers Fever From Taking Over Disney+
Disney’s streaming charts have been dominated by teen pop nostalgia lately, but a quieter trend is bubbling right underneath it. Between fresh Disney Channel premieres and old-school Princess specials, a handful of superhero blockbusters are quietly clawing their way back into daily rotation, and it says a lot about where fan attention is drifting this month.
The Jonas Brothers reunion movie ‘Camp Rock 3’ has been the story of the summer. The film premiered on Disney Channel on August 13, 2026 and hit Disney+ the next day, following Connect 3 as they scout a new opening act after losing theirs ahead of a big reunion tour. The movie stars Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter and Brooklynn Pitts as the new generation of campers fighting for their shot at the spotlight.
But according to a widely shared Disney+ Top 10 chart, ‘Camp Rock 3’ now shares chart space with three separate ‘Avengers‘ entries. ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, ‘The Avengers’, and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ all reappeared in the platform’s top ten this week, a jump that lines up suspiciously well with the ramping buzz around ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. The timing tracks. Tickets for the new film went on general sale recently, and fans appear to be using the original trilogy as a refresher course before the new one lands.
That refresher course is a big one. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ releases exclusively in theaters on December 18, 2026, and it is shaping up to be one of the most stacked ensemble films Marvel has ever attempted. The film follows heroes from three distinct universes as they are pulled onto a collision course against an existential threat unlike anything they have faced before. Robert Downey Jr. returns to the franchise, this time as the villain Doctor Doom, a casting swerve that was first revealed on the Comic Con Hall H stage.
The rest of the cast list reads like a full Marvel family reunion. Names attached include Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie and Chris Hemsworth, alongside returning faces from the X-Men and Fantastic Four corners of the franchise. Marvel confirmed Hayley Atwell will also return as Peggy Carter, adding another layer of nostalgia to a film that already leans heavily on legacy characters.
It makes sense that casual viewers are circling back to the classics. Whether fans are rewatching to track every subplot before Doctor Doom’s big entrance or just riding the wave of Comic Con excitement, the numbers on that chart suggest one thing clearly. People are gearing up for December in a big way, even while Camp Rock’s new campers hold their own at the top.
With ‘Camp Rock 3’ still holding the number one spot and three different ‘Avengers’ films clawing their way back into the mix, which nostalgia wave has you more excited, a summer of Connect 3 or the countdown to Doctor Doom?
