Cardi B is opening up about body confidence and why she decided not to go through with a planned butt surgery. On the March 24 episode of Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, the 33-year-old rapper explained that she scrapped the procedure because the recovery would interfere with her busy schedule.

Earlier this year, Cardi had joked to her friend Kehlani that she would disappear to Colombia after her tour for surgery, saying, “After this tour, I don’t want to hear nobody for three months. I’m going to Colombia… I’m taking this ass out!”

But during the interview with hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones, she clarified that it was just a spur-of-the-moment comment and that she now feels no need to make the change.

A big reason for her decision is how happy she feels with her body as a mother of four. Cardi, who welcomed her youngest son with NFL player Stefon Diggs in late 2025, shared that her perspective has changed after pregnancy.

“I do have a whole bunch of cellulite because I don’t know if it’s the age or I don’t know if it’s the fact that I have four kids, but I feel really good,” she said, emphasizing that she is learning to embrace her body’s natural changes.

Cardi also addressed the idea of perfection in her appearance. She admitted that even the features fans think are flawless don’t always feel that way to her. While she once considered having surgery to “take a little bit of butt out,” she now feels comfortable with her natural shape and imperfections.

The rapper is balancing this personal confidence with a busy professional life. She recently launched her haircare brand, Grow-Good, while touring on her Little Miss Drama Tour—her first arena headlining tour in over six years.

The 35-city tour supports her second album, Am I the Drama?, which topped the charts in late 2025 and features elaborate stage designs. It has also set records for the highest-grossing performances by a female rapper in multiple North American cities.

Looking ahead, Cardi is focusing on her next big project. She confirmed she will skip a deluxe edition of her current album to dedicate herself to a third studio album, which she hopes to release by early 2027. Between motherhood, music, and business ventures, Cardi B continues to show that she is confident, busy, and fully in charge of her life.
