While the trip was all about relaxing, the actress has also been open about what’s going on in her personal life. In a July appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, she talked honestly about dating and how her views have changed over time. She shared that she hasn’t had many casual relationships in the past, saying, “I’ve probably had three one-night stands in my entire life.”
Recently, though, she decided to try something different and step outside her usual comfort zone. She spoke about a new experience with a younger partner, describing it as something that surprised her in a good way. “But I did just recently f*** a 26-year-old, and it was really f**ing amazing,”* she said during the interview.
Even with that new outlook, Theron explained that she is not focused on finding a serious relationship right now. Between raising her two children and managing her career, she feels her life is already full.
She even questioned the effort that comes with dating, saying, “Who has f*ing time for dates and shaving and waxing and makeup? And I’ve got two children that have to go to school.”
For now, she says she enjoys her independence and the freedom that comes with it. She described this stage of her life as exciting and different from her earlier years. “I’m having the kind of s*x I never had in my twenties or in my thirties. That part has been really exciting. But I’m not missing a relationship,”* she shared.
On the work side, Theron continues to stay busy. She is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix film Apex, which premieres on April 24, where she plays a woman trying to survive in the Australian outback. She has also returned in The Old Guard 2 and will be seen in the drama Two for the Money alongside Daniel Craig.
