Chase Infiniti had a major night at the Actor Awards on Sunday, March 1. The 25-year-old actress made her first appearance at the ceremony, and it came with a lot of attention. She arrived at the Shrine Auditorium wearing a custom nude mermaid gown that fit perfectly with the event’s theme, Reimagining Hollywood Glamour.

The dress featured soft, shimmering beadwork, and she finished the look with a matching beaded headpiece that gave it an elegant and modern feel. This was a big milestone for Infiniti, which attended the awards as both a presenter and a double nominee.

Her appearance came after strong praise for her role as Willa Ferguson in Paul Thomas Anderson’s film One Battle After Another. She earned a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role and another nod as part of the movie’s ensemble cast.

Even with all the attention, Infiniti has stayed grounded. In an interview with ELLE for its Women in Hollywood issue, she shared that fame hasn’t fully changed her day-to-day life yet. I don’t get recognized that often in public; normally, the giveaway is my hair, she said. I can kind of hide with my hair braided or with my hair in twists.

The Indianapolis native said she’s been able to handle this fast career rise thanks to guidance from other women in the industry. She named Ruth Negga, Teyana Taylor, and Regina Hall as mentors who have helped her find her footing as a Black woman in Hollywood.

I’m so grateful to have three incredible mentors in my life who are so incredibly successful in many ways in career, in life, in love, she explained. Before her breakout roles, Infiniti studied musical theater at Columbia College Chicago and graduated in 2022.

One of her first big moments came in the Apple TV+ series Presumed Innocent, where she played the daughter of Jake Gyllenhaal’s character. That role helped open doors and eventually led to a long, six-month audition process for One Battle After Another.

Her schedule is now packed with major projects. She recently finished filming Hulu’s The Testaments, the sequel series to The Handmaid’s Tale, where she plays Agnes. She’s also set to star in the coming-of-age drama The Julia Set alongside Gillian Anderson and Christopher Briney. Along with acting, she’s becoming more involved in music and fashion.

Even with everything happening at once, Infiniti says she hasn’t forgotten her roots. She’s made it clear that performing on Broadway is still a long-term dream. For now, she’s focused on building her career and proving she’s one of the most promising new faces in film.
