Cher’s Son Elijah Blue Allman Faces Arrest Over School Assault and Trespassing Incident
Elijah Blue Allman, the youngest son of music legend Cher, was arrested on Friday, February 27, in Concord, New Hampshire, according to local authorities. Police were called to the St. Paul’s School campus around 7:00 p.m. after reports of an unwanted guest in the dining hall.
Witnesses said a man was acting aggressively, prompting the school to seek police help. Officers identified the man as 49-year-old musician Elijah Blue Allman, who has no official connection to the prestigious prep school.
Allman was taken into custody and faces several charges, including two counts of simple assault, criminal trespassing, and disorderly conduct. He was also charged with criminal threatening, but was later released on personal recognizance bail.
Neither Cher nor Allman’s legal team has issued a statement regarding the arrest. The incident comes after a period of relative quiet following a highly publicized legal battle over a proposed conservatorship.
Cher had previously sought legal control over her son’s affairs, citing concerns about his mental health and substance abuse issues, but the petition was dismissed in late 2024. At the time, Allman’s lawyers said the family was focused on healing and rebuilding their relationship.
The arrest raises questions about whether stability has truly been restored. Elijah Blue Allman is the only child of Cher and the late rock icon Gregg Allman. Like his parents, he pursued a career in music, leading the industrial rock band Deadsy as vocalist and guitarist.
Deadsy built a cult following in the early 2000s with their album Commencement, which saw a vinyl re-release just days before Allman’s arrest. The band has teased a new studio album titled Subterfugue for years, and in February 2024, they released their first new single in nearly twenty years, “(study for a portrait of) Napoleon In Rags.” Fans hope this signals a full comeback.
Meanwhile, Cher remains busy with her own career. She’s been promoting her memoir and celebrating the remaster of her classic collaboration with Elijah, “Crimson and Clover.” The 79-year-old superstar has also teased a potential world tour for later this year and in 2027.
Cher is reportedly working on new film projects and recently appeared in a documentary celebrating the history of the Allman Brothers Band. While her son prepares for his arraignment at Concord District Court on April 20, she continues to balance her legacy with new creative ventures.
