Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson Face a Deadly Countdown in ‘Mercy’ Trailer
Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for Mercy, a new science fiction thriller starring Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson.
The film, directed by Timur Bekmambetov and written by Marco van Belle, also stars Annabelle Wallis and features a supporting cast including Kali Reis, Rafi Gavron, Chris Sullivan, Kenneth Choi, Kylie Rogers, and Jeff Pierre.
Mercy is set in the near future, where Detective Chris Raven, played by Chris Pratt, is put on trial for the murder of his wife. He has only 90 minutes to prove his innocence to an advanced A.I. judge, portrayed by Rebecca Ferguson, before it decides his fate. Annabelle Wallis plays his wife, adding emotional weight to the story.

The film was first announced in January 2024, with Chris Pratt attached to star. Rebecca Ferguson and Annabelle Wallis joined the project in March, followed by other cast members in the subsequent months.
Principal photography began in Los Angeles on April 18, 2024, with Khalid Mohtaseb serving as the cinematographer. During filming, Pratt suffered an ankle injury early in the shoot, posting a photo of his swollen ankle on Instagram. Filming wrapped on May 23, 2024.

Mercy is scheduled for release in the United States on January 23, 2026, after initially being set for August 15, 2025. The newly released trailer shows intense action and suspense, giving audiences a glimpse of the high-stakes race against time as Chris Pratt’s character fights to prove his innocence.
