‘Citadel’ Spinoffs ‘Honey Bunny’ and ‘Diana’ Canceled by Amazon

Back in 2023, Amazon’s Citadel premiered. Since its April 28, 2023 debut, the series has one six-episode season, with a second season of the popular series on the way. But fans will know that it wasn’t just that.

Namely, the producers announced numerous spin-offs set around the world, and two of these spin-offs – Diana and Honey Bunny – have already been released by Amazon. Sadly, we have some bad news.

Namely, it has officially been confirmed that both Diana and Honey Bunny have been canceled by Amazon, while the main series is still on track.

As you know, the spy action series on Amazon stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra as two Citadel agents, Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, respectively. When Kane discovers a rival organization called Manticore, led by Dahlia (Lesley Manville), a tragedy occurs. After a significant time skip, Kane is now living a quiet life as Kyle Conroy, with his memory wiped, until an old colleague (Stanley Tucci) reappears.

The series received mixed to positive reviews and attracted solid numbers for Amazon, which is what prompted the spin-offs, which were, according to reports, supposed to be set in the Italian Alps, India, Spain, and Mexico.

Two of these spin-offs came to life at one point. The Italian one, Diana, premiered in 2024 and ended after six episodes, as did Honey Bunny, the Indian spin-off. These two shows were also solidly received, but it has now been confirmed that both shows have been canceled.

The plans that were in place for the second season will not be integrated into the main series, as has been confirmed. As for the other planned spin-offs, nothing has been confirmed or denied yet, so we don’t know whether they’ve been shelved or are still on track.
