Marvel has confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again will return for a third season, with filming set to begin in 2026.

The news came from Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ head of streaming, television and animation, during an interview with IGN.

He cleared up earlier uncertainty about whether the series would stop after two seasons. “In terms of Daredevil, yeah, we are greenlit for Season 3 and we start shooting next year,” Winderbaum said.

The second season of Daredevil: Born Again is already on the way and will premiere in March 2026 with eight episodes. It will be part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A third season was officially confirmed in September 2025.

Alongside Cox and D’Onofrio, the returning cast includes Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer, and Jon Bernthal. Krysten Ritter is also joining the lineup.

Marvel first began developing Daredevil: Born Again in 2022, announcing the project that summer with plans for an 18-episode first season.

The show went through a major overhaul in 2023, which led Marvel to split the episodes across two seasons and bring in new creative talent, including writers Matt Corman and Chris Ord being replaced by Dario Scardapane, along with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing. Filming for season two took place in New York between February and July.

With filming wrapped on season two and a release date set, Marvel is already looking ahead to keep Daredevil’s story alive with a third chapter now officially moving forward.
