DAVY x JONES First-Person Shooter Announced with Sword, Gun, and Grappling Hook Combat – Watch the Announcement Trailer

Game developer PARASIGHT, known for BLACKTAIL, has just announced a brand-new first-person shooter called DAVY x JONES. The game is coming to PC through Steam and also to consoles, although the exact platforms and release date have not been shared yet.

DAVY x JONES is based on the legend of the famous pirate Davy Jones, but with a strange and fun twist. In the game, Davy Jones has been betrayed, robbed, and beheaded. He ends up in The Locker, which is the afterlife for pirates.

But his story doesn’t end there. Players will control his powerful, headless body while his talking skull, named Davy, rides along and cracks jokes, guiding the way. Together, they fight to take back what was stolen and face Davy’s old enemy, Blackbeard.

The world of DAVY x JONES is full of mystery and danger. The Locker is a surreal pirate underworld made up of nine floating islands. Strange enemies, cursed souls, and even giant monsters like the Kraken stand in your way. You’ll need to use your sword, gun, and grappling hook to survive fast-paced battles and make your way through this eerie and beautiful world.

As you defeat enemies, they drop something called underworld essence. These essences can combine into treasure chests with strong loot. But there’s a catch, each chest also brings out a dangerous new foe, so players will have to choose between grabbing the treasure or running from the fight.

Another big part of the game is Abby, a unique creature that is part ship and part whale. Abby serves as your home, your battle partner, and your way of traveling. You can even recruit officers to help her fight and unlock powerful attacks, like blasting enemies with cannons.

The game also hints at a dark path ahead. To escape The Locker, Davy Jones might need to become something even darker than before, possibly the devil himself.
