Demi Lovato is stepping back into pop star mode, and she is making it clear that she is ready for the stage again. The singer recently shared new photos on Instagram that gave fans a preview of her upcoming tour energy. In the post, Lovato wore a black sheer top paired with a long denim skirt.

The look mixed street style with a performance-ready vibe and quickly caught attention online. The photos were taken at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. Lovato is set to perform at the venue on May 16. In her caption, she told fans she would see them soon on the It’s Not That Deep Tour, hinting that this new era is all about fun and confidence.

Fans reacted right away in the comments. One person wrote that they were the moooost proud of her, while another said the show was going to be iconic. The excitement around her return has been building fast.

According to Live Nation, this tour will be Lovato’s eighth headlining tour and her first time back in arenas since 2018. The North American run includes 23 cities and kicks off on April 8 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The tour will focus heavily on songs from her ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep. The album marks a shift away from the rock sound of her last record and leans into dance pop and electronic music. Tracks like Fast and Kiss are expected to be major moments during the shows.

Music is not the only thing keeping Lovato busy. She is also returning to acting. In March, she will appear in the drama film Tow, which is set to hit theaters on March 20. The movie is directed by Stephanie Laing and stars Rose Byrne, Octavia Spencer, and Ariana DeBose.

The film follows a woman trying to rebuild her life after her car is towed. This role marks Lovato’s first major live-action movie in six years, following her appearance in Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga in 2020.

Lovato is also working behind the scenes as an executive producer on Camp Rock 3. The project is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ this summer. While the Jonas Brothers will return as Connect 3, the story will focus on a new group of campers finding their voices.

Lovato has shared that mentoring the younger cast meant a lot to her. She said she felt a beautiful sense of responsibility and even spoke to them about protecting their mental health in the industry.
