Denise Richards is facing a major court ruling as her divorce from Aaron Phypers continues to get messier. According to reports, on Wednesday, February 25, a Los Angeles judge ordered the 55-year-old actress to start paying Phypers $5,000 a month in temporary spousal support.

The payments are set to begin on March 5 and will continue until the court says otherwise. The decision came after Phypers, 53, claimed he was struggling financially after his business ventures collapsed in late 2024.

Even though he is facing felony charges related to alleged domestic violence from October 2025, the judge ruled he is still entitled to support so he can maintain his lifestyle until the divorce is finalized.

Phypers’ legal team argued that since he hasn’t been convicted, he should not lose his right to financial help. In addition to the monthly payments, Richards must pay a lump sum of $30,000 for his professional expenses, including $25,000 for legal fees and $5,000 for a forensic accountant. She will pay this in three installments of $10,000 over the next three months, finishing in May.

A source close to Phypers told media outlets that the $5,000 monthly payment is small compared to Richards’ reported $200,000 a month earnings from her OnlyFans account. Despite the financial ruling, Richards appeared calm at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in an all-black leather outfit.

Richards has also spoken out about her frustration with her ex-husband’s family using her youngest daughter, Eloise, in a GoFundMe campaign. When you cross a line and bring my youngest daughter into trying to get money from strangers, it’s outrageous, she said during a recent podcast. That is wrong.

While dealing with the divorce, Richards is staying busy in entertainment. She is back on Bravo as a “friend of” on the latest season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She also gave fans a peek into her family life in her reality show Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, which followed her as a mother to daughters Sami, Lola, and Eloise, though the show was canceled in July last year.

On the movie front, Richards recently starred in the supernatural action film Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace as Deborah. She also has several indie projects coming up, including the drama A Walking Miracle, which is currently in production.

Richards has said she is starting to feel like herself again after a tough year. I am finally letting go and moving forward, she shared on social media. Phypers, meanwhile, is focusing on his legal defense and has claimed he is entitled to half of Richards’ OnlyFans earnings, a claim she strongly denies.
