‘Digimon Adventure -BEYOND-‘ Short Film Reveals What Happened to the Original DigiDestined After the Anime and Before the ’02’ Epilogue

Digimon Con is over and, in terms of the franchise, it was one of the most thrilling events in years. Many things were revealed and the fans really did receive something special this year. More information about the new game, a new anime series, more TCG and publication info, … – you name it!

Among the revealed content was the long-awaited Digimon Adventure -BEYOND- short film (or music video, however you want to look at it), which was announced some time ago as a video that will not only reunite Tai and Matt with Agumon and Gabumon after Kizuna, but also reveal more about their story post-02: The Beginning.

Although it does showcase a new version of “brave heart,” the video definitely feels more like a short film than a standard music video. It shows that the fight against evil is ongoing and will never stop, which is why everyone needs to keep doing their best.

As the description reveals, it “depicts scenes previously unshown, leading up to the ending of the final episode of the TV anime “Digimon Adventure 02″ 25 years later.”

And while the exact timeline has not been revealed, based on the character designs, it is not happening (the main part, at least, Takeru’s narration seems to be in the future) long after 02: The Beginning.

The video confirms several important details about the characters and their Digimon, reveals some interesting new facts and is overall a proper nostalgia clip that the fans will surely love.
