Donald Glover Reportedly Being Eyed To Serve as a Writer in the Upcoming MCU Project

Bob Iger recently talked about MCU downsizing its creative input. He said that fans can expect roughly 2 or three films a year and 2 shows. Which is significantly less than what was originally planned and what we’re used to seeing.

MCU currently has over 30 projects either rumored or confirmed to be in development. But as Brad Winderbaum recently pointed out, that doesn’t mean that all of them will make it into production and ultimately be released.

Still, the most recent rumors started by scooper & leaker MyTimeToShineHello, point in the direction of Donald Glover being eyed to serve as a writer.

The leaker did not mention the project that the studio is interested in hiring Glover to pen, but he does have some connections to Disney and Marvel in general.

Back in 2020 that Disney and Lucasfilm announced the spinoff ‘Lando’ series. The series was then reworked into a film, being developed by Donald Glover and his brother Stephen Glover.

Sony is also developing a film centered on the character Hypno-Hustler, with Donald Glover set to star and produce and Myles Murphy writing. Glover, known for his role as Aaron Davis in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and a cameo in ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,’ is taking on a new role in this upcoming project.

Based on what we know about Glover’s association to Disney and Marvel-based projects in general, this rumors are definitely not without merit, and we can definitely see Glover tied to something related to Spider-Man, be it live-action project or animated project.
