Dwayne Johnson Roasts Kevin Hart Hard During Netflix Event— Then Drops Wild Joke About His Wife
Dwayne Johnson brought plenty of wild jokes and personal attacks during Netflix’s live roast of Kevin Hart, but it was his comments about Hart’s wife, Eniko Hart, that grabbed the biggest reaction from the crowd.
The event took place during Netflix Is a Joke Fest at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, according to reports from the live roast. Johnson made a dramatic entrance with loud music, flashing lights, and Queen’s “We Will Rock You” playing as he walked onto the stage.
Once he grabbed the microphone, Johnson immediately started roasting his longtime friend and movie co-star.
“Now, I know what you’re all assuming is that I’m here to carry another shitty Kevin Hart vehicle,” Johnson joked. “But for once, that’s not the case.”
The actor continued making fun of Hart’s height and personality throughout his set. At one point, he called Hart his “little Burnt Oompa-Loompa” before shifting his attention toward Eniko Hart sitting in the audience.
“I want to just take a moment to give a shout out to all the ladies up here on this dais,” Johnson said. “You all look beautiful, magnificent, sexy. You know who else looks sexy? Kevin’s wife, Eniko.”
Hart immediately reacted from his seat and shouted, “What the fuck?” Johnson laughed and answered, “I’m just giving her compliments!”
The jokes quickly became more personal and more explicit. Johnson joked that Eniko deserved “an Academy Award for pretending she likes to fuck you.” He also teased Hart by suggesting he and Eniko should spend time together drinking tequila. Another joke focused on why women supposedly like Hart.
“He’s the same size and color as their favorite dildo,” Johnson joked, adding that Hart was “twice as loud.”
Comedian Chelsea Handler joined in during the roast and added another joke aimed at Hart and his wife.
“Don’t you think it’s time for Eniko to be with somebody that is bigger than her?” Handler said. Despite the brutal jokes, Johnson ended his set by reminding Hart that the insults were all part of the roast.
“I love you. Yes, I do,” Johnson told him near the end of the show. He then delivered one final NSFW joke, claiming he had gotten a life-sized Kevin Hart tattoo. Johnson later joked directly to Eniko, “I’ll show you later. Kidding. She’s already seen it!”
Hart responded after the set and jokingly confronted Johnson about the comments involving his wife. “Why would you say that about my fucking wife? I want to talk to you later,” Hart said. Johnson quickly reminded him that nothing was off-limits during the roast. “But you’re the one who said, ‘Hey, listen, fucking say anything you want!’” he replied.
The roast also featured appearances from several celebrities, including Venus Williams, Serena Williams, Lizzo and Tom Brady. Other comedians and actors also joined the stage throughout the night.
Johnson and Hart have worked together for years in movies like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Jumanji: The Next Level and Central Intelligence. According to the roast event, the pair are expected to reunite again for the upcoming movie Jumanji: Open World later this year.
