Dylan Efron Shares the Dance Floor with Sister Olivia and Honors Brother Zac on DWTS Dedication Night
Dylan Efron created a heartwarming moment on “Dancing With the Stars” during Week 5, which was “Dedication Night,” where each contestant performed for someone special in their life. For the first time in the show’s history, celebrities were joined on the dance floor by their loved ones.
Dylan, known for his appearance on “The Traitors” Season 3, danced a contemporary routine with his professional partner Daniella Karagach on the October 14 episode. While the performance featured the song “Rewrite the Stars” from The Greatest Showman as a nod to his older brother Zac Efron, Dylan dedicated the routine to his little sister, Olivia.
In rehearsal footage, Dylan spoke about the close bond with his siblings. “I wasn’t expecting to be a big brother,” he said, mentioning their 30-year age difference.
“After she was born, we were immediately inseparable. I want to show her to live life with confidence. Zac was always there for me, and I want to be that for Olivia.” Olivia, dressed in a pink leotard, also shared her feelings, saying, “I just like being with Dylan. He’s my best friend and I just feel like I’m free with him.” Dylan described their connection as “authentic.”

The performance began with Dylan dancing alongside Olivia, who will turn six in December. He lifted and twirled her before she ran offstage, leaving Dylan to perform the rest of the routine with Karagach. Their choreography featured lifts and dynamic moves, ending with Olivia returning to her brother’s arms. The judges praised the performance, awarding them 36 out of 40.
Although it was Olivia’s first time on the dance floor, she has often been seen cheering Dylan on during the season. Dylan told TODAY.com that his entire family, including his parents, younger brother Henry, and Olivia, were present for his first performance. “
The first person I called after the dance was my mom because she was in the stands, but she didn’t know that she could see me after the show,” he shared. “I was expecting to see her, and then she wasn’t there. So I just called her to say, thank you for coming. And that was after I saw my dad, and my little brother and sister.”
This performance highlighted Dylan Efron’s dedication to family and created an emotional moment for both the audience and judges. It was a rare glimpse into the personal side of a reality TV star, showing the strong bond between siblings.
