‘Elden Ring’ Coming to Switch 2 with New Classes and Features

Share:

Elden Ring is heading to the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025, and it will include some brand-new features. This version of the game was first shown during last month’s Switch 2 Direct, but not many details were shared at the time. Now, thanks to the “FromSoftware Games Event Spring 2025” in Tokyo, we know a bit more about what’s coming.

Two new character classes are being added: Knight of Ides and Heavy Knight. While the exact stats for these classes are not known yet, it’s expected that the Heavy Knight will be very strong in defense.

Another fun update is that Torrent, your loyal Spirit Steed, will have three new looks to choose from. You’ll be able to customize how Torrent appears while you travel through the world.

Players will also get access to four new sets of armor, weapons, and combat skills. These extras are a bonus for those picking up the Switch 2 version, but players on other platforms won’t miss out — all the new content will also be available as part of the “Tarnished Pack” DLC.

This new content is expected to feel similar to a digital deluxe edition, offering small but fun additions to the main game. And of course, players can still enjoy the large Shadow of the Erdtree expansion as well.

Elden Ring continues to be a huge success, with over 30 million copies shipped worldwide, making it one of the best-selling games ever.
