Some of Marvel’s biggest teases still have not paid off on screen. Post-credits scenes have introduced new faces, set up plots, and dropped names that fans recognize right away. Several Disney series also debuted characters who have stayed put in their own corners since their first appearance.

This list rounds up those characters and explains exactly where we last saw them. Each entry notes the project, the scene, who played the role when known, and what the setup promised. Everything here refers to live action unless the appearance happened in animation within the same continuity.

Hercules

Disney

Hercules first appears in the mid-credits of ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ where Zeus speaks to him about punishing Thor. Brett Goldstein plays the character in a short scene that names him on screen and shows the Olympian setting up a confrontation with the God of Thunder.

Since that tease there has been no follow up in another film or series. The scene functions as an open thread that places Hercules inside the same timeline as Thor without more detail about his mission or allies.

Clea

Disney

Clea enters the MCU in the post-credits of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’. Charlize Theron appears in a purple suit, opens a portal to the Dark Dimension, and tells Stephen Strange that he caused an incursion before inviting him to help fix it.

No project has continued that story on screen. The scene confirms her status as a Master of the Mystic Arts and connects directly to Dormammu’s realm, but there has been no additional on-screen exploration of that plot.

Eros

Disney

Eros arrives in the mid-credits of ‘Eternals’ aboard the Domo. Harry Styles introduces himself as the brother of Thanos and uses a device to locate the missing Eternals who were taken by Arishem.

There have been no further scenes that show Eros interacting with other characters in the main continuity. The mid-credits appearance establishes his relationship to Thanos and Pip the Troll but stops there.

Pip the Troll

Disney

Pip the Troll appears with Eros in the mid-credits of ‘Eternals’. The character identifies Eros as a Titan and addresses the remaining team, making clear that he travels with Eros and knows about cosmic affairs.

There has been no additional live-action material that includes Pip after that moment. The cameo positions him as Eros’s companion without revealing who else he reports to or how he navigates the wider cosmic map.

Dane Whitman

Disney

Dane Whitman’s most important scene is the post-credits of ‘Eternals’. He opens a case containing the Ebony Blade and reaches toward it as the metal responds to him. An off-screen voice warns him to think carefully before he proceeds.

Dane has not appeared again since that scene. The moment confirms the Black Knight setup and shows the sword’s supernatural pull on him, but it does not show the transformation or any mission beyond that point.

Blade

Disney

Mahershala Ali’s Blade’s first presence in the MCU is only a voice in the ‘Eternals’ post-credits scene. He speaks to Dane Whitman as Dane considers lifting the Ebony Blade, which signals that Blade is already active and aware of the sword.

There has been no on-screen appearance of Blade beyond that voice cameo. The scene verifies that Blade and the Ebony Blade share a narrative lane but gives no visual introduction or timeline for his next move.

Skaar

Disney

Skaar appears in the closing minutes of the ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ finale. Bruce Banner returns from space and brings his son to a family gathering where he introduces Skaar by name.

Skaar has not been shown again after that reveal. The finale confirms his lineage and physical look from Sakaar but does not include any additional scenes that place him in a larger story.

Jake Lockley

Disney

Jake Lockley shows up in the post-credits of the ‘Moon Knight’ season one finale. He speaks Spanish, drives a limo with a license plate that reads SPKTR, and works with Khonshu to remove Arthur Harrow from the hospital.

Jake has not appeared outside that ending. The sequence verifies a third alter for Marc Spector and shows that Khonshu still has plans for Moon Knight, but no other episode or film has advanced Jake’s arc.

Phyla

Disney

Phyla is introduced in the mid-credits of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’. The scene shows a new Guardians lineup with Rocket as captain and Phyla using powers that suggest an energy-based ability set.

Phyla has not appeared again in any later project. The tag confirms that she trains with the team after the High Evolutionary’s fall, but there is no subsequent mission that includes her on screen.

Toussaint

Disney

Toussaint appears in the mid-credits of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’. Nakia tells Shuri that he is her son with T’Challa and that his Wakandan name is T’Challa.

There has been no follow up that shows Toussaint after that introduction. The reveal clarifies the royal lineage and his life in Haiti while avoiding any scenes that place him in Wakanda beyond the mid-credits moment.

Mac Gargan

Disney

Mac Gargan first appears in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and returns in the mid-credits. He meets Adrian Toomes in prison and asks about Peter Parker, which sets up his Scorpion identity from the comics.

There has been no later appearance of Gargan as Scorpion in the shared continuity. The scene establishes his interest in Spider-Man and hints at a future suit without delivering a follow-up encounter.

The Grandmaster

Disney

The Grandmaster shows up in a post-credits button for ‘Thor: Ragnarok’. He faces a group of former subjects after the Sakaar uprising and tries to smooth over the situation with humor.

There has been no new live-action chapter for the character after that button. The scene confirms he survived the revolt, but the continuity has not shown where he went or whether he still rules anywhere.

Karl Mordo of Earth-616

Disney

Karl Mordo’s path changes in the post-credits of ‘Doctor Strange’. He visits Jonathan Pangborn and removes his magic, stating that there are too many sorcerers.

The version of Mordo from Earth-616 has not reappeared since that sequence. A multiversal variant appears in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, but the original timeline has not returned to the fallout from his turn against other sorcerers.

Immortus

Disney

Immortus appears in the mid-credits of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ as part of the Council of Kangs. He speaks to other variants about the fate of the exiled Kang and the impact of the multiverse.

There has been no additional scene that uses Immortus after that council meeting. The tag confirms that multiple variants are coordinating, but it does not include another presence for Immortus in later stories.

Rama-Tut

Disney

Rama-Tut stands beside Immortus in the mid-credits of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’. The image shows his pharaoh design and places him among the leading variants who direct the council.

Rama-Tut has not shown up again after that appearance. The scene marks him as a power player among the variants without introducing any confrontation or timeline outside the council chamber.

The Scarlet Centurion

Disney

The Scarlet Centurion is the third variant highlighted in the ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ mid-credits scene. The shot frames him with Immortus and Rama-Tut as they react to the events in the Quantum Realm.

There has been no further live-action use of the Scarlet Centurion in the shared timeline. The tag serves to confirm his existence and influence without extending his story.

Eddie Brock in the MCU timeline

Disney

Eddie Brock appears briefly in the mid-credits of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. He sits at a bar in Mexico, hears about the Avengers, and is returned to his universe while a small piece of symbiote remains behind.

He has not appeared again within the MCU timeline after that crossover. The mid-credits leaves the symbiote fragment in the MCU while removing Eddie, and no later scene has shown him crossing back.

White Vision

Disney

White Vision debuts near the end of ‘WandaVision’ and flies off after recovering memories during a fight with Vision inside the Hex. The series gives him a distinct look and a separate path from the family Wanda created.

There has been no on-screen continuation for White Vision after that finale. The character leaves Westview with the original Vision’s memories but does not return in another series or film to resolve his status… yet. Paul Bettany is set to reprise his role in the 2026 series, ‘Vision Quest.’

Layla El-Faouly

Disney

Layla El-Faouly becomes the Scarlet Scarab in the ‘Moon Knight’ finale. She accepts temporary service to Taweret and fights alongside Moon Knight while protecting civilians.

There has been no follow-up appearance for Layla after that episode. The show names her new identity and displays her powers, but the wider continuity has not used her again.

Kamran

Disney

Kamran gains powers during ‘Ms. Marvel’ and leaves Jersey City after a destructive confrontation. He receives help from Red Dagger and departs through a safe route that keeps him off the grid.

He has not returned in another project since those events. The series ends with Kamran outside the city and without a new status scene that places him in a larger team or story.

Red Dagger

Disney

Red Dagger appears in ‘Ms. Marvel’ as an ally who trains Kamala Khan in Karachi and explains part of the Noor dimension. He operates with a small group and helps her understand the bangle.

There has been no later live-action appearance for Red Dagger. His scenes establish his network and his connection to Kamala’s family history, but he has not crossed into another title.

Elsa Bloodstone

Disney

Elsa Bloodstone debuts in ‘Werewolf by Night’ during the Bloodstone hunt. She inherits the Bloodstone by the end of the special and takes control of the family estate.

There has been no later live-action appearance for Elsa. The special establishes her leadership role and her connection to Jack Russell and Ted, but she has not shown up across the wider slate since then.

Jack Russell

Disney

Jack Russell is introduced in ‘Werewolf by Night’ as the man who becomes the werewolf. He protects Ted during the hunt and escapes at the end after a night of transformation.

He has not appeared again in another project. The special defines his friendship with Ted and his approach to controlling the curse, but there has been no additional story outside that hour.

Ted

Disney

Ted, also known as Man-Thing, appears in ‘Werewolf by Night’ as the creature the hunters seek. He forms a bond with Jack Russell and leaves with him after the Bloodstone changes hands.

Ted has not returned after that special. The story confirms his powers and his sensitivity to fear while keeping him off screen in later titles.
