Every Major Star in Netflix’s ‘I Will Find You’ and the Characters They Play
Netflix has a new Harlan Coben thriller dropping today, and it arrives with one of the most stacked ensemble casts the streamer has assembled in recent memory. ‘I Will Find You’ is an eight-episode miniseries adapted by showrunner and creator Robert Hull from Coben’s novel, following a wrongfully imprisoned father who sets out on a desperate rescue mission after learning his son may still be alive.
The series has been generating serious buzz well before its debut, and a lot of that excitement comes down to the talent assembled on screen. The miniseries is slated to premiere on June 18, 2026, and stars Sam Worthington, Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, and Erin Richards in its leading roles.
Sam Worthington Leads the Harlan Coben Adaptation
Worthington plays David Burroughs, a father serving a life sentence for the murder of his own son, a crime he did not commit. The character is the emotional spine of the entire series, a man ground down by years of wrongful imprisonment who suddenly has a reason to fight back.
The audience is introduced to David in the fifth year of a life sentence, tortured by the loss of his son and the wreckage of his life, spending his days withdrawn and going through the motions. It is a demanding role that calls for both physical intensity and deep emotional restraint.
Worthington is best recognized for starring as Jake Sully in the popular ‘Avatar’ films, and his other notable credits include ‘Lift’, ‘Clash of the Titans’, and ‘Terminator Salvation’. Landing him as the anchor of a prestige Netflix miniseries feels like a genuine course correction for a career that deserved more prominent dramatic territory.
Britt Lower Brings Her ‘Severance’ Momentum Into the Thriller
Britt Lower plays Rachel Mills, David’s ex-sister-in-law and an investigative journalist whose life fell apart after she was fired, and she joins the search after finding a photo that suggests David’s son may still be alive. Rachel functions as both the emotional entry point for viewers and the key investigative engine of the plot.
Lower told Netflix that Rachel never believed David was guilty of the crime he was imprisoned for, and her curiosity about what actually happened is what sends her on that path. That belief drives the entire partnership between the two characters across all eight episodes.
Showrunner Robert Hull did not hide his enthusiasm for the casting. Hull told Netflix that they are catching Lower at an incredible zeitgeist moment, referring to her Emmy-winning dual performance as Helly R. in ‘Severance’. Pairing that momentum with a gripping Coben mystery is a smart move that the streamer will no doubt be counting on.
Milo Ventimiglia, Erin Richards, and the Supporting Cast of ‘I Will Find You’
Milo Ventimiglia plays Hayden, Rachel’s ex-boyfriend and a prominent Boston philanthropist whose continuing bond with Rachel compels him to help David as he evades the authorities. Ventimiglia told Netflix that when you have shared a love as deep as Hayden and Rachel had, of course he is going to show up for her, even if it means the law is looking at him more closely.

Erin Richards, known for ‘The Crown’ and ‘Gotham’, plays Cheryl Dreason, David’s ex-wife and a talented and compassionate pediatric surgeon who still grieves the loss of her son but has worked hard to rebuild her life. When David breaks out of prison, everything she has built is threatened by long-buried secrets rising to the surface.
Logan Browning, from ‘Dear White People’ and ‘The Perfection’, plays Sarah Greer, a member of the FBI’s Fugitive Task Force in Boston who, alongside legendary agent Max Williams played by Chi McBride, has become a valuable duo for the bureau until the Burroughs case threatens to upend everything they have worked for. The FBI pursuit thread adds a propulsive cat-and-mouse dimension to the larger mystery.
Jonathan Tucker, Clancy Brown, and Madeleine Stowe Round Out a Deep Bench
Jonathan Tucker plays Adam Mackenzie, a police sergeant and David’s best friend who is willing to risk everything to help him escape prison. Tucker, a reliable character actor known for ‘Westworld’, brings a grounded moral complexity to a role caught between loyalty and the law.
Madeleine Stowe joined the cast as Gertrude Payne, a wealthy heiress harboring a dark secret, while Clancy Brown plays Nicky Fisher, a semi-retired old-school mobster with a startling personal connection to the Burroughs family that threatens to expose long-buried truths. Both are scene-stealing veteran presences who signal that the conspiracy runs far deeper than a simple missing child case.
Vas Saranga also joined the cast as Agent Dev Chopra, and the guest roster includes Aaron Ashmore, Kate Vernon, Greg Bryk, Peter Outerbridge, and Eric Johnson, among others. That depth of supporting talent suggests ‘I Will Find You’ is not cutting corners anywhere.
What Makes This Netflix Thriller Stand Apart
The series marks the first entry in Coben’s long-running Netflix partnership to be set in the United States, a notable shift after a string of international productions. That decision alone gives the show a different energy, one rooted in a more familiar landscape for North American audiences.
Filming took place in Kingston, Ontario and Toronto, Ontario, with locations including the Kingston Penitentiary and the University of Toronto Mississauga campus, and additional scenes were shot around Washington Square Park, Central Park, and Times Square in late August 2025. The production scope matches the ambition of the source material.
Coben serves as executive producer on the eight-part series alongside Hull, Bryan Wynbrandt, Steven Lilien, and John Weber. With a cast this accomplished anchoring a story this propulsive, ‘I Will Find You’ has all the ingredients to become the next unmissable Coben event on the platform.
