Anew set photo from Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming action thriller F.A.S.T. has given the first clear look at the film’s production and its lead actor Brandon Sklenar. The movie is being developed at Warner Bros. and marks Sheridan’s return to feature films after years of focusing mainly on television projects.

The image shows Sklenar on location in Spain during filming in late 2025. He is seen between takes wearing a dark brown jacket while standing near a production van. A stunt double is also visible nearby, suggesting that the scene being filmed involves physical action or dangerous movement. The set appears tightly controlled, with production equipment and crew partially visible in the background.

Sklenar, who is known for his role as Spencer Dutton in the series 1923, reunites with Sheridan for this new project. According to Collider, F.A.S.T. was written by Sheridan himself, continuing his long history of writing intense, character-driven action stories. However, this time he is not directing. That role belongs to Ben Richardson, who has previously worked within Sheridan’s television universe, including on 1923. The collaboration suggests a familiar working relationship between the two.

The story of F.A.S.T. focuses on a former special forces commando who has fallen on hard times. He is recruited by the DEA for a dangerous mission in his own hometown. The role marks a shift for Sklenar, moving away from historical drama into modern action territory. The film is expected to include intense combat scenes and grounded action sequences, consistent with Sheridan’s previous work in films like Sicario and Hell or High Water.

The cast also includes Sam Claflin, known for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Wilson Bethel from Daredevil, and Juliana Canfield from Succession. The ensemble suggests a mix of film and television talent, which is common in Sheridan’s projects.

Filming took place quietly in Spain in November 2025. The production kept a low profile, avoiding public attention while shooting key scenes. Because of that, the new set photo is one of the first real glimpses of the film’s development. The secrecy around the shoot has added interest among fans who follow Sheridan’s expanding body of work.

Sheridan remains one of the most active creators in modern entertainment. While he wrote F.A.S.T., he is not directing it, as he continues to oversee multiple television projects. These include ongoing work in the Yellowstone universe and other original series across streaming platforms. According to the same reporting, he is currently managing several productions at once, with more seasons and new shows in development.

F.A.S.T. is scheduled for theatrical release on April 23, 2027. The film is positioned as a return to Sheridan’s big-screen roots, bringing him back to the type of storytelling that first built his reputation in Hollywood.

While no official promotional interviews or statements from Sheridan or Sklenar were included in the report, the set photo itself confirms that production is actively moving forward. With filming already completed in Spain and post-production likely underway soon, F.A.S.T. is shaping up to be one of Sheridan’s major upcoming film releases.
