Prime Video’s Fallout is getting even bigger as three new actors join the cast for the upcoming third season. According to Deadline, Manny Jacinto, Emily Mortimer, and Thomasin McKenzie have officially signed on for recurring roles in the hit post-apocalyptic series.

The new additions bring some major talent to the Fallout universe. Jacinto is known for his role in Star Wars: The Acolyte and the comedy sequel Freakier Friday, while Mortimer has appeared in projects like Jay Kelly and Doll & Em. McKenzie has built a strong film career with roles in Eileen, Jojo Rabbit, Last Night in Soho, and The Power of the Dog.

The trio will join previously announced Season 3 addition Aaron Paul, whose role in the series has not yet been revealed. Fallout is expected to return to Los Angeles this month to begin production on the new season.

Based on the popular video game franchise from Bethesda, Fallout takes place in a future world destroyed by nuclear war. The story follows survivors who have spent generations living inside underground shelters before being forced to return to the dangerous world outside.

The official description of the series explains that Fallout explores the contrast between those who had everything before the apocalypse and those who were left with almost nothing. “Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.”

The Prime Video adaptation has become one of the platform’s biggest successes. The series stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Frances Turner, Annabel O’Hagan, and Dave Register.

According to Deadline, Fallout has reached a major milestone, with the first two seasons surpassing 100 million viewers worldwide during the first 13 weeks of Season 2. The strong audience response has helped turn the video game adaptation into one of Prime Video’s most successful original series.

Fallout is produced by Kilter Films, with Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham serving as executive producers. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are the creators and showrunners of the series. Bethesda Game Studios director Todd Howard and Bethesda Softworks’ James Altman are also involved as executive producers, helping keep the show connected to the original games.

For the new cast members, Fallout continues a busy period in their careers. Jacinto recently appeared in The Acolyte and Disney’s Freakier Friday, while also working on upcoming projects including the animated film Forgotten Island.

Mortimer has expanded her career behind the camera as well, creating and starring in the BBC and Amazon series The Pursuit of Love. She also co-created, wrote, and starred in HBO’s Doll & Em alongside Dolly Wells. Her upcoming projects include her feature directorial debut Dennis.

McKenzie continues to build her reputation with a mix of major films and independent projects. After appearing in films like Jojo Rabbit and The Power of the Dog, she is set to appear in upcoming projects including Paul Greengrass’ The Uprising.

With new characters, returning favorites, and a growing audience, Fallout Season 3 is shaping up to continue the success of Prime Video’s ambitious adaptation. The next chapter of the wasteland adventure is expected to bring even more surprises when production begins.
