First Look: ‘The Fast & Furious’ 25th Anniversary Popcorn Bucket is a Must-Have For Fans
Fast & Furious fans will soon have a new way to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary. Regal and Cinemark theaters are preparing to release special collectible popcorn items connected to the milestone, including a container inspired by Dom Toretto’s famous Dodge Charger and a large anniversary popcorn tin.
Both theater chains are planning to offer the collectibles ahead of the franchise’s return to theaters on August 21. Neither Regal nor Cinemark has announced the final price or exact release date yet, but both have listed the items as coming soon.
The main collectible is a special container based on Dom’s black 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, one of the most recognizable cars in the entire Fast & Furious series. The design pays tribute to the vehicle that has been connected to Dominic Toretto since the beginning of the franchise. Instead of being just a display item, the Charger container will come with popcorn, allowing fans to use it as both a movie snack holder and a collectible.
A second item being released is a 130-ounce popcorn tin featuring several references to the franchise’s history. According to Fantasy Land News, the design includes license plate details from different parts of the series, including the “2JRI424” plate from the original 2001 movie, along with references to Fast X and other moments from the franchise. The lid also includes “25 Years of Fast and Furious” branding with a special hexagonal design.
The original The Fast and the Furious arrived in theaters on June 22, 2001, and quickly became the start of one of Universal’s biggest movie franchises. Over the years, the series expanded from street racing stories into large-scale action films filled with international missions, dramatic family themes, and famous cars.
To celebrate the anniversary, Universal has been releasing different types of Fast & Furious merchandise. These Regal and Cinemark collectibles are among the first items directly connected to the franchise’s theatrical anniversary celebration. Since both major theater chains will carry the products, more fans will have a chance to purchase them when they become available.
The Dom’s Charger collectible is likely to be the biggest attraction for longtime fans because the car has become a symbol of the series. The franchise has used the Charger as a major part of Dom’s identity, making it a fitting choice for a 25th anniversary item. The popcorn tin also includes small details that longtime viewers may appreciate, especially the reference to the original movie.
Fantasy Land News noted that both collectibles will be available at participating Regal and Cinemark locations while supplies last. The site also said it will share updates once the theaters reveal more information about pricing and release dates.
