Paris Fashion Week is about far more than the runway. The Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear shows run from Sept. 28 to Oct. 6, and the parties around them often draw just as many stars. Few hosts in fashion have a guest list as coveted as Edward Enninful’s.

Enninful is the former editor-in-chief of British Vogue and the founder of EE72. He began his career as fashion director of i-D at 18, the youngest ever to hold such a post at a major international fashion title. His company, EE72, is a media and entertainment company that launched with a four-city world tour of parties, ending last year in Paris at Le Grand Café.

This year’s Paris gathering has produced a standout look from one of its guests. HQCelebCorner posted photos on X on Oct. 3 of Emmy Rossum arriving at Enninful’s Fashion Week party in Paris on Oct. 2, calling her all-black outfit sleek. She is shown outside at night wearing dark sunglasses, her voluminous dark curls loose, with a crowd of onlookers behind her.

The outfit is a study in black. She wears a short-sleeved fitted black top with a sheer mesh V-neck panel, tucked into a black leather mini skirt with a subtle logo at the waist. She finished the look with black knee-high boots and a simple watch, and the contrast between the soft jersey, the glossy leather and the transparent inset keeps the monochrome from feeling flat.

The post does not mention a designer or say who else was in the room, so the look speaks for itself. It is a restrained, evening-ready take on Fashion Week dressing, the kind that works as well for a dinner as for a party.

Black has been a through line for Rossum lately. At the 2026 Emmy Awards, she presented Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series alongside Alan Cumming in a black Julie de Libran couture gown with lace and a tiered skirt. The look continued her growing relationship with the French label, though Tom + Lorenzo found the dress overdesigned.

Her style has changed a lot over the years. W Magazine notes that Rossum has graduated from pastel-hued ingenue to fashion risk-taker, leaning into structured shapes, revealing sheers and bold colors. A black leather skirt and a sheer panel fit neatly into that more mature, avant-garde evolution.

There is plenty to celebrate in her career right now. Her Hulu series ‘Furious,’ in which she plays FBI agent Alice Black, premiered on July 27 and was renewed for a second season in August. Rossum also serves as an executive producer, and NPR called the show an unforgettable thriller that goes far beyond a remake of ‘Black Widow.’

It is a long way from the ingenue roles that first made her famous. Now an actor, producer and style star, she can walk into a Paris party in a leather mini skirt and boots and still command attention. With Fashion Week running through Oct. 6, there will be plenty more nights like this one.

What do you think of Emmy Rossum’s all-black Paris Fashion Week look?
